| A Hero is born . . . |
Annelise Seberg, daughter of Maren and Jannick Seberg, started out life in the coastal city of Keldernæs, located on the northern shore of Storstrøm Island, in the Danish province of Sjælland. Who could have imagined on that blustery, Fall day 29 years ago that a hero would be born?
Annelise's parents lived in Åbenrå, on the Danish mainland, but had decided to travel up to Keldernæs for one last trip to their favorite vacation spot before the girls were born. Tragically, their car was struck by an unidentified motorist while driving up the coastal highway, and a horrific accident occurred.
Jannick was killed instantly, but Maren survived the accident and was taken to a local hospital to tend to her severe wounds. Unfortunately, Maren's injuries were too great, and she died on the operating table. The surgeons performed an emergency caesarian on Maren though, and little Annelise and her twin sister Birgitte were born miraculously unharmed.
As the girl's Grandparents, Rikke and Torbjørn, had died during WW II fighting as part of the Danish resistance, the girls were placed into a foster home, where they were eventually separated and forced to grow up on opposite sides of Denmark.
After University, Annelise continued her regime of endurance and fitness training, and decided to follow in her grandmother's heroic footsteps by becoming one herself.
She came to Paragon City to try to make a difference and provide some hope to the world, where she met Ms. Brasil of The Internationals, who invited the young hero to join her ranks. From that point on Annelise would be known as Ms. Denmark, a member of The Internationals, and would strive to right wrongs and alleviate injustice where ever it was found . . .
