| I have a dream... |

I have always loved rollercoasters & theme parks, and I thought the Loony Park level was fantastic... while it lasted. I finished it in 10 minutes!!! Now how can that be acceptable when there is SO MUCH SPACE! I am going to change the loony park so that clowns begin slow, with only a melee attack, and gradually get faster & more powerful. Then, when they reach their peak, we add crusty into the mix as a supporting character, helping the clowns along. Again, crusty becomes faster and faster, more & more powerful, using the huge area across that massive ravene to its full potential. Then, after giving the player a dose of 100% crusty, standing and flying, Corn will take the limelight. But this time, corn is no longer the weak and feeble cannon fodder that could be GIBBED WITH ONE SHOTGUN BLAST!!! No, this time Corn is a semi-boss. He has the same attacks, and the same looks, but he has grown to twice his size and has five times as much health. It certainly takes at least a few rockets to take out this bad boy. Then, as the grand finale, we return to the fantastic rollercoaster, exactly as it was in all its glory.
This level should take an absolute minimum of 30 mins. These modifications will surely do it justice. |

| In the original painkiller, every single level had a set routine of starting with relatively easy characters with few attacks, and building up to more powerful ones which take longer to kill. In the painkiller expansion, battle out of hell, that whole routine just disappears. Instead, they used a lot more spectacular stunts and surprises, but these are only novelty, and wear off after the first play through. Also, there is far too much gibbing! It gets boring after a while and, personally, I far prefer seeing bodies flail and fly through the air after a blast from the shotgun. Some of the levels are also badly designed (the orphanage needing a teleport at its front door), and some of the enemies are just far too difficult (Leningrad). However, I would say that the creatures and areas are absolutely stunning, the weapons are an absolute joy to use and the set pieces or scripted events that do come along can be very, very clever. They certainly caught me out once or twice. |
