Moncro is a life long student of the martial arts. As he delved deeper into the mysticism surrounding the darker side of combat (seeking only to learn defenses against it), he discovered he had a natural gift for necromancy. Not wanting to compromise his values, Moncro set about to use these powers against evil, not for it. Unfortunately, there was a price for Moncro's loyalty. The dark powers ate away at him until barely a skeleton remained. His power is now entirely magic, though his attacks appear at times as traditional martial arts. Because of his forboding appearance, Moncro is often shunned by traditional superheroes, who question his methods and long term ability to remain ethical. For this reason, Moncro has gathered together a close network of friends who understand his true nature and driving desire to save Paragon.
