| The real history |
The star of the Orpheum Cabaret in Budapest, Sylva Varescu was giving a farewell concert before leaving for a tour to America. Two of her admirers, Count Kancsianu and Feri von Kerekes agreed the showgirls of the cabaret made their lives very pleasant. But their friend Prince Edwin Lippert-Weylersheim had fallen in love with Sylva. He pleaded with her not to leave and it became clear they were in love. But contrary to popular history Sylva did not eventually marry Prince Edwin, nor did she leave for the tour to America.
Count Kancsianu and Feri von Kerekes kidnapped the beautiful Sylva and locked her up at the Count's estate. Thanks to their influence in the upper circles, and the constant fear for any royal scandals they managed to twist history. Perhaps they were assisted by the operatives of T.I.M.E. as well, but that remains unknown. What is known now is that T.I.M.E. took a serious interest in Sylva. While she was locked up and heartbroken she started to pray to her Gypsy ancestry, and slowly dark powers began to grow in her.
Before she realized her own full potential the agents of T.I.M.E. arrived at the estate and offered her an escape if she was willing to join them. Since she thought she would never be free nor ever be with her beloved Edward again she accepted their offer. And so started her life in a strange new world.
