People ask me where I got my name from, and when I tell them I am the living version of the avatar of Phedre_D from GameAmp.com they get confused. They ask if this Phedre is a real person. So I tell them she is a fictitious character from a book, that tuned into a superhero, that turned into a forum junkie, that turned into a GameAmp member of staff.
"So you look like Phedre?" they ask then. "No, I look like the picture Phedre used to represent herself on the GameAmp forums." I explain. "So she used a picture of you then?", they continue to ask. "No, that picture was just a drawing Phedre pulled from somewhere on the net. I didn't even exist until I became Phedre's face on the forum and eventually the superhero you see before you."
Maybe one day I'll be a character in a novel written by the person that read the book that triggered this all. The circle would be complete. But I doubt it will happen. I'll just stay superhero. I think that is a good enough goal in life.
