Nice chat on the Guild channel 7/19/07 - 09:57
It was actually philosophical and with deep thought. It was refreshing and not expected. A lot of people were like "Wow, a serious conversation in GW"

I think I like this group even more.

As for game progress, I didn't do much but did a quest and turned it in. My time is becoming limited due to work.
Northern Wall... I should have done this one first 7/13/07 - 12:44
It was too simple: Go from point A to point B and then haul ass back.

Well going to A is no problem and I really liked the fact that I got to see Corah speak... but it was running back that got a little tricky.

The first time I ran though I went the wrong way and ran out of time. So I got it done the second time and got the bonus too.

So now I understand when people refer to doing a mission plus bonus.
Fort Ranik, that was fun! 7/11/07 - 05:03
I really didn't mind the lag since I do not have to apologize to henchmen so my party consisted with the Healer, the Mage, and the Tank.

I haven't been so hyped since before I left the searing and got kinda turned off with the drastic change in the scenery. This is a good thing since all I'm thinking of is to hurry home from work and log in again tonight to re do the mission.

I was able to earn 2k experience points and now Corah is level 11.
Oh the temptation.... 7/1/07 - 09:37
I got into the wireless network that has no firewall on it, just a WEP key and I'm so tempted to use my laptop to play GW while I'm at work. It's Sunday, its slow, I'm here on my day off, so why not? But I shouldn't... oh its bouncing back and forth in my head over and over.

Anywho, Corah reached level 10 and I got a armor upgrade that I liked the look on the outfit so I went ahead and used the purple dye I had on me add a personal touch to it.

I'm also kicking ass using all of the raised minions to the point that I'm thinking about not having to use a healer henchmen, so I may give that a go when I can get on later.

*stares at laptop with unrestricted internet connection...*
Oh Crud, Look at the Time! 6/28/07 - 09:35
I played 5 hours strait last in in Old Ascalon and did not zone out. It was just me and a healer henchman. And after killing all the named Mobs (and getting +12 Morale Boost) I actually ran out of Charr to hunt! Heh, funny, and I needed to get more necklaces from them to get an armor upgrade.

Anywho, I took some screenshots and posted them today and I found some interesting material on "Internet/Gaming Addiction" and I think I'm in the mood to write an article on it.

Anywho, I'm eagerly waiting for my work shift to end today so that I can jump back into Guild Wars.

I lost track of the time and realized that it was getting late sometime before 1 AM and I'm sleepy because of it ^^;
New Guild, Same Faces 6/26/07 - 03:18
I am now in the Gameamp Guides [AMP] guild, but its the same people in the alliance chat since the guild chat from the other guild was not active at all anyways.

So I'm adjusting to that and figured out a little trick or two and decided to write a guide of my own. I'm just anxious in waiting to have it approved.

I'm going to do a full game marathon this weekend since next week is going to hell - lots of overtime to be had and I can't pass it up.

Nothing new to report on my in game adventures other than I did quite a bit of exploring north of the wall and finding those fire pits/altars that I read about. And man, did I get my arse pounded into the ground too =/

Obviously level 9 is still to low of a level to solo more than 1 level 8 Charr... I'm a bit on the too squishy side and there is not much armor is available in Pre.

Another issue I am having is the lack of bag space. I came up with a solution with that, though that means that I am mostly poor in Pre and that is to buy lots of salvaging kits and any white item, I salvage. I have a nice collection of common crafting materials and although they are no good to me now, I can unload them after the Searing part and build up a stock pile if not for Corah, but for the other characters as well.

So um, this weekend I'm gonna sit on the couch with the laptop, watching anime and drinking beer and going to ENJOY MAH WEEKEND!
I'm just not feeling it 6/25/07 - 11:14
The Guild I'm in, We Want More [HUGS] doesn't have a certain 'vibe' for me.

I want a guild where we in essence become like an adopted family and I think I've found it here in [AMP] via the forums and the alliance chat that [HUGS] is part of.

Not enough people are active in [HUGS] and I've never seen more than 4-5 people on at the same time and at many times I was the only one online. I want a more active guild and website forums. Hence why I like [AMP] better.

Also, I really, really don't like pink. Ugh. What a horrible color to choose for a guild cape.

I am worried that I will piss anyone off by moving to another guild like this. But no one is active long enough for me to really get to know anyone there anyway. I hope they can understand.
Necro + Surivor = Bad Idea 6/25/07 - 09:11
I gave up with the survivor title. It got repetitive and boring. So I'm grinding away in Pre and I think that for my own convenience, get to the highest level possible before I get bored and then move onto the searing.

Although, I'm thinking about using a Ritualist/Paragon combo for another character, Anjira Soulwaker but one character at a time, ya know?

So after that catharsis of 'awfuckitall' I'm now having a good time again.
Grinding along 6/21/07 - 12:15
It sucks being a protectionist. I restarted Corah to get that survivor title.

I'm back in Pre-Searing Ascalon as Corah and I don't know why, but I don't get tired of it. Its the post Searing that really turns me off from this game.

The community here says that once I get past that, then it will get interesting again.

So for the time being, I'm going to spend as much time as I can in Pre to get the highest level possible. According to the walkthroughs and guides here, by just grinding for monsters alone and doing no quests, its possible to get up to level 16 before noting gives you any more exp.

Now if I survive without dying at that point, then I'll just finish the quests and collect up and the exp. Perhaps I can make it up to 17 before going into Post. Then just carefully grind to 20 and get that title I want.

But if I don't make it with no deaths, I may ponder the possibility of going for that defender title, but from what people say, its a few long grueling months to get from 16-19 and then turning in the quests to make it to 20 and after level 16, the only way to get exp is to do this "Death Leveling" trick.

I'd rather go for the survivor title, thanks ^^;

I found a little trick to take the quest of "The Charr at the Gate" and get the EXP which is like 100 per Charr and then map back to town, abandon the quest and then retake it. Rinse wash and repeat.

The lag got so bad to the point that I couldn't even walk up to NPCs. So I called it a night and went to bed.
Lag and Ping is a Cruel and Harsh Mistress... 6/18/07 - 10:02
I had been rather careful with Corah, I wanted to try to go for the Survivor Title, and I was doing fine all the way up until Level 8.

Heh. I received a warning (and didn't listen) about avoiding high lag times and even weekends. This weekend was that Dyes dropped 3 times more than normal. So that was what everyone was farming.

So after 3 disconnects within 5 minutes, I found myself at the healing shrine in the Catacombs (in Pre Searing).

My first death was not even my fault at all. It was lag. Fuck!

At this point I pondered what I should do with Corah: Should I stay in Pre and do the Defender of Ascalon title or restart Corah or just continue.

I chose to continue. I didn't want to start all over (though it was appealing) since I would have to go through the searing to deposit all the dyes and crafting materials that I had accumulated (which killed me on the lack of bag space).

But in the end, I went "Fuckit" and I'm going to continue playing as her.

I'm finding that I like Necromancers better than Elementalists. =^_^=
I posted a Bio for Corah 6/13/07 - 12:42
It was part of the Ampy Biography Contest. Strangely it is short. I'm rather more verbose in my writings so I guess I may be just tired or lazy or flat out out of ideas right now.

But I did write a bio for Corah Shadowstalker and it is now submitted.

I rarely win anything and I've read over other entries while I was waiting for my article / entry to be approved and some are rather long. Mine is barely 300 words. I guess it was meant to express the urgent need to hurry and prepare for battle.
Guild Wars Rebirth 6/13/07 - 10:29
I deleted Corah and recreated her in the same way as before.

The reason why is because I want to play the Pre-Searing where I can get my bearings correct, and take my time with it. Also, to reacquaint myself with the story since I had put it down for so long.

I also quit my old guild and requested an invite to We Want More [HUGS]. The reason why is because the guild I was with barely had people logged online. I wanted a larger community and heard that it would be good for communication and for the casual player. Which is what I am looking for. Also a good place to chat and hang out while questing is always good too.

I kept Lana and I'm not quite sure what to do with her. I normally play a Mage-type character but sorting out what element goes against what is getting old to me.

I've never played a Necro-type character and I'm finding it to be a refreshing change.

I also observed that I get more Black Dyes and I now know to NOT vendor them off but hang on to them and put them into storage after The Searing and play the Trader game and wait until the price for it goes up. Heh.

As for my own color type, I like Purple and I'm delighted to learn that you can actually mix those colors together to make other colors... which is why I guess Black is worth more since it wouldn't be too easy to make with out dumping so many other colors would be needed (assuming that it is following the pigment/CYMK color wheel which means that black is the presence of all color instead of RGB where black means the absence of all color) that it would not be worth mixing and instead buying the black dye itself.

I just got Nightfall and added it to my installation, and finding it at half price was an added bonus, so I should be able to use Heroes and later add Factions with a future paycheck.

I'm also almost finished with another game that I got hooked on (Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines) so as soon as I finish that, then I should be able to concentrate on Guild Wars full-time. ^^;
