Who Gave Birth to GameAmp?

GameAmp is the offspring of Mason "Nogame" Ambrose and Eric "The Shaman" Filson. Originally conceived in December of 2003, GameAmp was incubated for four excruciatingly long months. Designed to be the most dynamic and customizable fansite network on the planet GameAmp was finally hatched in April of 2004.

Since its arrival into the world GameAmp has grown at an astounding rate under the watchful eye of Nogame and The Shaman. Nogame, playing the part of the mother has given it the nurturing and education it so deserves, empowering it with knowledge and information that it might share with the rest of the world. The Shaman, playing the role of the father figure has smacked it around a bit in order to show it discipline and strength; giving GameAmp a more mature appearance to the rest of the world and making sure it plays well with others. After a year of raising GameAmp on their own it was decided a wet nurse was needed to help control some of the problem areas and Nogame was feeling a bit overwhelmed. GameAmp was fortunate the get the best nurse around; Jeni Hendee (thejeni). Jeni has continued to help Nogame and The Shaman raise GameAmp to be what is today; a two year old spoiled brat that we'd love to sell into child labor.

What is GameAmp?

GameAmp is a gaming fansite network. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of a fansite network, it's very simple to understand. As a fansite network GameAmp has a series of websites with each website being dedicated to a different game (e.g. World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, etc…) We provide you with the an information database about that game that usually includes; skills, spells, monsters, whatever is applicable. In addition, we also hook you up with the latest news, articles, exclusive interviews, and we try and giveaway whatever cool swag we can get our grubby mitts on.

In short, we're fans of the games and we provide a cool resource for other fans to use, abuse, and toss to the side when they're done; ‘cause that's the way we like it.

Why is GameAmp Different from Other Fansite Networks?

There are a number of reasons why the GameAmp Network reigns supreme over the plethora of other networks out there. To start, we've got the maps! Over the years our members have come to love our maps and we try to get the latest maps up and available for everyone as soon as humanly possible. Next on the list is the layout of our information. If you've been around the block and checked out the other fansite networks out there, you should notice that our layout should be much easier to navigate. If you think otherwise than drop us a suggestion in the forums! We're always looking for new ways to improve upon what we've got.

Next on our bragging list is the amount of features the GameAmp Network has compared to other fansite networks. Let us count the ways:
  • Infinite Private Messages
  • Infinite Personal Image Gallery
  • Infinite Blog
  • Unlimited Game Handle List
  • Friends List
  • Free Search Feature
  • NO FREAKIN POPUPS
  • Only Two Advertising Spaces
  • Access to All Contests and Drawings (without paying)
That should give you a starting point. As you start to look around the network you'll begin to notice the little things that set GameAmp apart as well.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Credibility System. Credibility is a point system that displays how credible a gamer is within the GameAmp community.
