I have a level 38 warrior as my main character and have lothar's set and most of my talents in sheild and toughness. I achieve over 500 ac and have life steal bonus's. I can have my whole party wipe easily and nothing can touch my warrior. Any damage I do lose I gain back with life steal. I feel it trivializes any content I have come across. Anyone else run into this?

well you will meet your superior in the end of the game, trust me...your entire party will be wiped out, if not to the grave, and at first you wont care cause you think you are invincible...to dont bother to look at your life...but all of a sudden you notice that your melee character i moaning..you wonder why....look at the life and see that they actually damage your character ceveirly...this will happen....especially if you are at lv 38 when you reach the end....

More or less the same, but i do think the game has become somewhat harder now tho (act 3 vet). Again my warrior can take a monster beating, while my other toons get smacked to pieces fairly easy... Tanks in DS2 really are TANKS, and i like that :)

My party that beat VET mode easily was 1 warrior 2 rangers 1 combat mage and 1 nature mage...works great, except for bosses, you get a lil' bit of trouble there, due to not being able to provoke bosses at all...ah well, 2 rangers makes massive single target damage.

Warriors actually suck cause they do 3-4 times less damage than mages. At the end of the game when u got good gears on mages u do not see them ever dying.
Ive beaten elite with 1 warrior and 2 combat mages (was main power).

all classes have godly items..trust me...you just happened to find the ones for combat mages..because you played with them...try a dual wield+ waves of force and see how devastateing this is

ehh ok, well in zaramoths tower there are A LOOT of enemys...and my warrior had a lil bit over 500 in armor, no i think it was 595 in armor yeah...and lv 41 there are 2 rooms where the enemy just flods the room, I mean litteraly ....and if you stand in the middle of that room I dont think you will make it with just one warrior, since the rest of them are dead...so no, you are wrong or you have like 1000 in armor...i just cant believe that you can make zaramoths tower alone with one hero...no sir...cant believe it

On the topic of "hard to kill warriors" I'll just say my peace. Both of my warriors are templated for damage output, ie: Dual Wield. Though they have no shield they are still quite a force to be reckoned with.
Now I wouldn't say they are invincible but they are damn tough. The way I've geared up my warriors, (health and armor high) they are usually the last to fall along with my Ranger. I do think that my dual wielding warriors should be a little less resiliant in comparison to the shield wielding variety of warriors however they just keep on ticking.
Do I think warriors are invincible? Not really. Do I think warriors are a lot harder to kill despite shield or no shield? Yes... to a very high degree.

Works INSANELY well, you get massive armor buff, along with taunt for 20 seconds. That's enough to end most fights.
EDIT: When I went through Zaramoth's horns, I had insane equips, something like 800 armor sword and shield at mercenary. Also, I used the Spinning attack alot, and abused the eyes of zaramoth as much as possible. I dont see how people have TROUBLE with it when I did it with 1 character. And on a side note, my veteran warrior has 1200+ armor and 2200 hp.

ya my combat mage is the same way, I leveled some melee on the side so i can wear most of lothar's set and have the full nexus set on, and my staff gives me some life steal. So I purposely run into ambushes, and use drown and lightning attacks. The little damage they do, I regen anyway. Even when they finally get me unconscious, I'm usually back on my feet in about 2 seconds, with full health against a large group after casting drown. But at veteran it gets tougher, so when the time comes you'll have to worry about defense again. =P
Right now I'm working on enchanting legendary rings and amulets to protect me from ice, fire, lightning, and death magic since its seems to be my weak point in defense, especially death magic. Enchanting them costs a fortune tho, like over 100k a ring, lol.

ok, i have 3 duel wielders, my hero, eva and sartan (and i know sartan is supposed to be a two-handed guy, but he does pretty good) and they ROCK. i blast off a waves of force power with my hero, and each wave does like 8000 damage, instantly gibbing any and all enemies caught in it, regardless of their health, size or lvl. when i was lvl 50, i could splatter a lvl 68 stygian hulking shail.
so i say that duel wield is the best. but thats just my opinion.
also my weapons have a large health steal, so i never die.
right now i am lvl 69 playing on elite, and i pretty much never run into trouble.
so, yea, i guess it is kind of easy, but i dont know if it would have been equally as easy if my hero were a mage.

Too easy game, and i solo'd it with a CM. My biggest fear is that the DS team will read these forums full of people who cant beat easy bosses and easy monsters and easy quests, and they will make their next game that much easier ><. I always say CM is the best, probably a better tank then a shield warrior too, in BW i sometimes played around by re-speccing my skills to a warrior, and wearing warrior gear (all the best uniques) and i was alot more frail. At 2300hp and 900 armor w/o corpse transmute, and 73% resistances w/o buffs, was quite the tank, also had many points invested into nature magic for absorption/defense and offense buffs for self sufficiency, had about 15-20 of those. I'd like to see a shield warrior tank mysterious cave, thats the ultimate challenge, a time attack, rip through the cave in best time ^^
