Well...think I'll go for a long range type, probably an archer. Archers were kind of worthless in SoG, but they look much better in DnL.
I'll still need to look at some of the other classes, but may also go with one that will be effective in exploration/mapmaking. The territory will be considerable and it would be a lifetime job to map the world with an ordinary character. So I think a exploration type character would be fun and useful.

Good point about the exploration. The sheer hugeness of the world is one of its charms. Maybe a bard is not not a bad idea. Wandering from village to village spreading the word sounds like a dream job.

I was just lookin at the hunter class too. I'm thinking Ambush Master though. Nothing quite as satisfying as laying traps and watching an unsuspecting victim walk right into it.

Hi Julia! Welcome to Dark and Light. You have come on the right time. The game is going to be released next week. The pioneers will be starting today. Of course I was very daft over the long weekend and forgot to start the download. So I will be one of the pioneers that is running behind everybody else. But soon we will have a ton of more info.
