Hello
I have a problem:
Every time i save the game (by autosave or checkpoint), painkiller minimizes, and a small window pops up containing:
| QUOTE | [string "../SaveGames/042/SaveGame.Info"]:1: invalid control char near ` char(0)'
Press "Retry" to Debug.
<"Abort"> <"Retry"> <"Ignore"> |
after i click "Retry", i get another window, exactly the same like this one. After i click "Retry" there too, i can resume playing.
This problem occured the first time at the Swamp Boss (i got loads of such windows then, with slightly different content, but i had to restart Painkiller afterwards then) and the saving-problem i noticed when i started playing C3L1 Train Station.
I already uninstalled and reinstalled Painkiller, but i still get that 'script error' at every level, and its very annoying to play Painkiller that way.

In your Painkiller directory called "SaveGames" delete the savefile that causes this error.
What version of the game you have?

i got version 1.61 i believe. i still didn't have time to take a look at it, got too much work for school.

Well the last version is 1.64.
So you need 1.62 (100 MB) and 1.64 (6 MB) on top.
Download and install poweramd 3.62A for latest PK version then:
www.kalme.de/painkiller
Powermad will fix bugs and will add lots of commands also as cheats. One of the commands will let you g oto the level you want without any savegames.
