I'm having a lot of trouble getting out of part 4 of Chapter 5, Level 3 (Old Monastery). Basically, I've gone down the stairs and killed all the skeletons, monks and witches at the bottom. The walkthrough I've been using by Daniel (FecalLord) Engel indicates that I should then head for the checkpoint. However, it doesn't appear that I've killed ALL the badies since the arrow at the top doesn't have the usual red outline around it which indicates the end of this part of the level. Also, the arrow which usually points to the next checkpoint or more badies seems to be frozen. Does anybody know what I should do next so that I can proceed further?

Never mind, one and all. I found out what the problem was. Evidently I didn't collect all of the stars (pentagrams) along the way -- in particular the one in the bell. Once I retraced all my steps in the monastery (making sure to get ALL the stars) and got back to the basement and killed all the badies again, then the door opened downward toward the end of the level.
