trouble with game speed

hi,

i have recently reinstalled painkiller and the BOOH addon and i just can't play the game because it works to fast.
i play it at 1280x1024 with full detail. the world moves to fast. just imagine that i can go around the church in the first level in about 2 seconds. and when i create a multiplayer game, the effect is triple. i stay next to a wall, and when i hit the forwrd key, in a fraction of second i am in the wall in front of me who was at at least 100 m. you know that the weapons on the map are levitating and slowly spining.imagine that in my game they are spinning so fast, just like a helicopter rotor.

i need help, because i really want to play this game one more time. i,ve tried with the framelimiter, but nothing.

i am waiting for some answers.

thanx a lot

RE: trouble with game speed

The are 2 options with this problem:

1) people who have powermad installed even don't notice how they click on the numpad buttons automaticly making world speed faster...

2) if you use dual core CPU, which directly causes insane speed. I believe yuor case is this, so disable one of the CPU in your dual core system.

RE: trouble with game speed

isn't there a patch or something for that? because i can't just disable one of my cores.

there must be another way to solve this problem.
this means that in a next future nobody will be able to play this game.

anyway, thanks a lot for the answer, and i am looking further for future opinions

"In the near future"

The single core CPUs are still way more popular today..

Anyway, try to disable one of the core in BIOS.

Or maby it is possible simply in the WINDOWS TASK MANAGER?
