Welcome to CoH Gameamp

I would like to first off say Hello to all the new site members. Welcome to Gameamp; we are glad you here to talk on the forums and particpate in all areas. The reason this site is so attractive to people is the ability to express ideas and thoughts without the "flaming" and "griefing" you get from other CoH forums. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and thoughts. Likewise if you disagree with someones viewpoint try to express your opposing idea without degrading someone else. Any type of "flaming" or "griefing" will not be tolerated by the staff of CoH Gameamp.com. If you have a question on this matter please feel free to PM a staff member.

Lets all do our parts in keeping this site a friendly but exciting site for City of Heroes.

I'm not sure what you mean by "flaming and greifing" exactly but i saw a complaint about someone giving a bad rating just because good legal advice is as scary as it is helpful and someone who calls other peoples ideas stupid. Are these good examples or are you talking about something else? I dont see anyone saying anything bad about other people here anywhere but i'm new and havnt read everything yet.

Flaming and griefing (terms I hate to use but most know) is the terms used in describing way people respond negatively in forums. For instance calling people names or degrading them would be types of flaming/griefing. They can get bad on CoH main forums but it can be a task for there moderators to review and read all threads. The staff just wants to make sure that these actions will not be allowed. This site is a great place to express ideas and thoughts without fear of being attacked. Now dont get me wrong I dont want people not to share opposing ideas; but use common sense in your response. As the old saying goes; Treat others like how you want to be treated. If you dont like to be called names then dont do it to others. we value everyones opinion no matter what are differences may be.

actually these things are part of the reason Grifter posted this thread. I also wanted to add that it will NOT be tolerated on this site. One of the reasons I 1st came to this site was because the forums here were a place I could express my ideas about the game and not be worried about any kind of negative attacks. And now that I'm site mananger i plan on keeping these forums that way.

Word of advice.. do not refer to the orangutan as a monkey.. they hate that.

In other news, I thought I'd throw my "Hi there!" onto this thread, since I'm the New Kid on the Board. (not to be confused with that horrific boy band from the early 90s, to which my mother forced me to take my little sister to their concert and I was scarred for life..)

I haven't been playing CoH for very long. A friend of mine got me (addicted) interested in playing recently and I have been doing my best to figure things out.

Anyway, I will be around and stuff, so feel free to say Hi, or Get Off My Cape, or whatever :)

I also just wanted to come by and say hello! I've only been playing City of Heroes since the first Friday in this month. :) HOOKED!

I like how the forums are set-up here on Gameamp... very different, very nice. I'll see you all around.

Been browzing your site for the past few days trying to get my CoH fix at work ;) (Most gaming sites are blocked here so GameAmp is a Godsend :) )

I'm glad you have created a place where we people can come discuss the games without having to deal with the carp on other boards. (The official boards are horrible, and depressing!)
