Before getting serious, plan for your character’s future. What I mean by this is create the progression path for your character before you make a grave mistake.
Character progression planning is something that I have learned from PnP. Take the extra time to write down what class you will be taking at which level. In addition, write down the feats that you will be using and when you will be taking them. Make sure you pay attention to feat prerequisites. It will also be worth your while to plan for skills and enhancements as well. Design your character all the way to level 20, even though only 14 levels are available at the moment.
By creating a progression path, you will greatly reduce the risk of making a major mistake later in your adventuring career.
Good luck!

Hmm, not sure how many people still log in here, however, as I have a question that was half related to your topic I felt it was worth making an account to ask it.
I just played for the first time yesterday after finally being convinced by my mate who's been desperate to get a 'core' of people together since it was released.
I've looked ahead at some of the enhancements that you can get and wanted to be certain of something first. My friend informed me that items that offer a benefit for the same skill or stat do not stack (+2 Dex Gloves and +1 Dex Boots doesn’t net a +3 bonus) Is this the same for Enhancements?
If I get the Human Versatility Enhancement of +1 Dex and the Ranger Enhancement of +1 Dex would I increase by two, or would the second choice be a waste?
