| Mystery Quest triggring ??? |

Ok, I finished DSII and killed Valdis and completed
all other secondary quests. I have obtained all three
items for the mystery quest and all I need is the stone
from ???.
How do I get ??? to appear? Are there any bosses that
regenerate that might drop good enough stuff to
bring ??? around?
I think I might have killed all of the big bosses.

the loot thief spawns randomly.
the largest chance of him appearing is when a rare item drops from a killed enemy.
The most rare drops are off course in Zaramoths horns
To kill the guy i used finala whit decay armor
a ranger whit take aim and a dual wielder whit brutal attack
the combination of those gets him dead if you have enough power

I tried boosting my find magic items but only managed to get about +80% chance to find items.
I still can't get him to appear. Is it even possible at the Mercenary level? Will he appear in teh Borken World Expansion?

yes he will appear there to
if you are desparate and really want him to come in ds2 and you didn't kill him
you can install guru's rare everywhere it's a mod that makes you drop rares and set items on each kill
And he'll come...

Hi all
I'm a rookie(about 45 level, just came to Zaramoths horns)
Do you think I could kill the ???
-with War Cry(-60% armor)
-Brutal Attack(about 3000 damage) or Elemental Rage(2 level)
-Take Aim(about 4500 damage) or Charged Shots
-and some Vines from a nature mage(about 7 seconds freeze)
From the Mistery set I'v got only the Token,
but I'll get the others too.

easiest method on killing him is decay armor and hit him whit take aim or brutal attack ussualy takes2 hit's and he's dead dropping his stone

I don't know for sure. But it could work unlike grasping vines or stunning or freezing him which don't affect him.
I always had a combat mage in my party and never tried otherwise.
