I played the first Dungeon Siege, Single-player, wasn't into Multiplayer at the time, and loved it. But I would have never tried it, without playing the demo first. Is there a demo for DS II that I could try? Where do I find one if it exists? Thanks for anything that you may know...

Yessir. I'm not sure if its downloadable on the net at the moment but the September issue of PC Gamer has a Dungeon Siege 2 demo on it.
It's a decent size and has a lot of replay value, check it out if you have the means.

I demo'd DS2 at GenCon 3 years ago (GenCon was still in Milwaukee, that's how I remember how long ago it was). I was excited about getting it then. I had beaten the original game and we had some LAN parties with 5 or 6 of us playing all night. I can't wait to get to play again :)
Anyhow, the demo that I saw 3 years ago was cool! The only problem I had with it was moving around. The methods are different to how DS worked. While I can't remember what it was like, I have to imagine it is similar to how other MMORPGs are today. I'm sure I'd pick it up pretty fast after having played CoH and WoW now. I don't remember grouping or picking up new teammates. I think it was mostly a test of how combat worked, checking out the new armor/weapons, and seeing the really great graphics. Well, they were really great 3 years ago anyhow. From what I've seen recently, it still looks great. I wonder how much updating they've had to do to keep up with the industry.

Walking around is a little wierd after playing a lot of the new MMORPGS. It's that point and click scenerio and it's been a while for me. After a few hours though it gets to be pretty second nature.
I will say, in the 5 days that I played them demo, I replayed it about 6 times with different variations of each class. The replay value is very high, for me at least. =)

Does the demo have just single player or does it allow you to demo multiplayer as well?

The PC Gamer demo only has single player actually. There may have been a Multi-Player demo though I did not play it.

Yesterday the had a server(or something up) for DSII, where they got 52 players into the same world.
They are at least considering about releasing this game as a mmmorgp in the future. That would be an outstanding game.

To go into an mmorpg world they would have to change everything really. DS or DS2 was not made for mmorpg balance and some of the items are just to powerful to have. In an mmorpg world people need balance or farmers and exploiters have an easier time capitalizing only a badly balanced economy/loot system.
I really like DS/DS2 for what it is, I'll save my mmorpg existance for the other games who have came before (and after) the DS series.
(Also, the 52 player game was a DS1 mod)

DS2 as MMO, that will be awesome. I'll pay a monthly fee for it.
