As noted before the demo is available in the September issue of PC Gamer. However it has also finally made it to the net! I know gamespot has it but haven't looked into any other sites.

| QUOTE | Yessir. I'm not sure if its downloadable on the net at the moment but the September issue of PC Gamer has a Dungeon Siege 2 demo on it.
It's a decent size and has a lot of replay value, check it out if you have the means. |

thanks for the info...
Hey, just an update...but I went to Gamespot, as I'm at work now and can't download the demo yet, and it listed the System requirements, one being a DVD drive...that can't be right can it?? I don't have a DVD drive just a lowly CD-Rom...anyways I went to the DSII site but couldn't find their system requirements, So if I'm downloading the demo it won't matter right?
But if the game is only for DVD drives, (I doubt it but who knows??), I won't be able to play it afterall, bummer...
also the download file is 1466 MB, so be prepared to wait for it...
Thought you all would like to know...

I would imagine that they will release it on CD drives, they would lose a lot of potential customers by limiting it to a DVD release. The loss in revenue of customers that do not have DVD drives wouldn't equal out the gain in production costs by going from multiple CD's to one DVD.
That's just my 2 cents.

Yea! I downloaded the demo last night!! I started at like 12:30 AM went to bed and it was done by like 7:15 AM this morning, even with my cable modem it took that long!!
I guess everybody and their family were downloading at the same time...
I got to play a little bit this morning before work...so far so good, took just a second or two to refamiliarize myself with the controls, after playing City of Heroes for like a year now, it just felt real different, but came back to me pretty quickly.
The game looks real nice and I dig the talking characters, I don't remember Dungeon Siege having voices, so that was a nice touch...
Can't wait to finish the demo and try the whole game...

Hi, this is my "pampers-post" for this forum and to answer this thread's question - Yeah ! I'm sure as "an evil place" gonna pick this up as soon as it hits the streets. Been waiting for this sequel for months (especially since I bought my Radeon X800 XT PE which rendered Dungeon Siege 1 unplayable due to some weird bug making huge chunks of the game-areas disappear, making me unable to proceed longer than up to the first crypt) ! Seing no patch for this makes me a bit... disliking... of DS1.
And FYI;
DungeonSiege 1 had voices - voices of the characters you met along the way. I'm fairly sure though, that your own character did not speak - as he/she/it seems to do in DS2.

Actually (and I could be wrong), your character never says anything in DS2. However his companions have predetermined spots where it will cue up conversations between them.
The conversations change depending on who's in the group and which characters are able to interact.
