I know that many people out there are MMO junkies. They tend to join one, play until they are burned out, then find a new one. So I'm wondering what everyone's roots are.
My 1st MMO was UO. It was like crack and I couldn't get enough of it. After about 1 1/2 years of playing every day for at least 4-6 hours a day I burned out on it. It was a long while before I took up another MMO, but I did get hooked on City of Heroes (actually I'm still playing it now after a few months break). I've also tried but disliked Lineage2. The game itself was great, but the people that are playing it really just make me not enjoy the game at all.
So what have been your expierences out there?

FFXI was my first MMO, which, when my PC had severe technical difficulties (ie. the screen frequently blacked out), rendered it unplayable. When I got a new PC, one of my friends got me hooked on city of heroes, which I played until a few months ago. However, it eventually got a bit to "samey" for me, and I left. After a little pondering i decided to re-install FFXI. Luckily my character was still there and I have been playing that. I also played the PSO:BB beta, but I couldnt bring myself to essentially re-buy a game I already owned on a different platform.
Although I am starting to think that FFXI has started on its downward spiral, and I thinking about migrating to my next MMO...

Let's see, I started off on Nexus, a 2d rpg for pc that was our of Korea. I then migrated over to World of Warcraft during the beta and continued to play that up until about 2 months ago with minor diversions when city of villains and coh came out. I've been reading up on this game and it seems pretty intersting.

I swore off MMO's and RPG games for so long. I was a die hard FPS guy until I tried City of Heroes with a friend. It pulled me in, and still makes me consider comin back. Then of course I swore WoW off until I tried it and actually got past 20 and was hooked lol. Been playin that for almost 2 yrs now lol.

ut I have tried LOTR online, Guild Wars. Almost got into EQ2 but was bored before it even finished installing. Still nothing held me in like WoW.

My gaming career started with Super nintendo and NES when I was like 5-6. I always watched my bro play or played with him, or played by my self =D. Then it was gamecube. Then my parents bought some CoH beta codes, my family played that for a while, along with Toontown and animal crossing.
Then my bro got WoW, oh daaaamn that sucked me in so bad. I played that forever, then after a while I started to get sucked into CoX again, and now im back on WoW, and planning on hardcoring Tabula Rasa.
