i've had issues where my router/routered firewall interfered with the updates, and only updated when i hardlined my cable.

how do i turn off the firewall? i think i have firewall but only my bro uses it and i don't talk to him

it all depends on if it is a router firewall or software firewall. If it is hardware, type Http://192.168.1.1 to access your router's local settings, if your brother has not changed it from default like i have, and then you will just have to hope that he did not put a password. Then just turn it off from there. Or if it really does not matter to you, and you really need to turn it off, and u dont think ur bro will mind to reset the password, just hit the little reset button found on most routered firewalls. If it is software, disable/turn off the program, common firewalls include karyo, zone alarm, mcaffee, and norton. You can just right click the program in the taskbar and turn it off.
