concern (about competitive play) 

ok, i know that most people after getting used to something tend to resist any kind of change and instantly dismiss new ideas.
but i have a serious concern, and a possible solution.
my concern is about the situation in 1v1 or TDM right after someone gets fraged.
in 1v1 a very common scenario is that one player has all the weapons and after fragging his opponent he can continue to comfortably spawn-rape him silly. the other player doesnt have much of a chance when all he has is a shield/AR and his opponent has every weapon (hence, no matter where the weaker player tried to run the opponent has a weapon that'll work in that situation).
in 4v4 TDM when someone spawns its incredibly hard to find a weapon, its no fun running around with an assault rifle all game!
a simple solution to all of this would be to give the player a shock rifle upon spawning (with only 10 ammo).
that way, he wont be as easy to spawn-rape but will still have to seek more weapons/ammo since 10 ammo is very little for a shock rifle.
what do you guys think?

the shock rifle is too powerful for that...

hitting someone with a grenade is the same as hitting with a lightning gun shot, and you can take down 90% of players with a good shield primary charge... the thing can nail you from 4 feet away =\

it's not easy, but mastering the weaps you start off with will make it much easier... remember, if you kill someone after you spawn, you pick up their weapon, so that's often the fastest way to get one anyways...

good teamwork also will help, as teams should always share weapons and help protect their spawners as much as they can...

well, finding weapons isn't THAT hard tbh, if you're just aware of where you can find them. Also keep an eye out on healthpacks and vials, if you see them spawning one after the other towards some weapon, u can be sure that that weapon will spawn soon. there's tricks, just gotta learn em.
and dont underestimate the assaultrifle, a nade followed by some spraying can easily lay down an opponent.

UT is all about making sure you can spawnrape in the deathmatch based gametypes. I'd say bringing back enforcers would be a better option, or any decent spawn weapon. Adding quake 3 style armor/health countdown would be cool too. Currently there is just too big a gap between a player with a few guns + lots of health/armor and a newly spawned player.
