Secret entrance to UW and secret buffs

There is a secret statue of Genth hidden in a large temple right before the first portal taken after Beacon's Perch to get to Droknar's Forge. If you can make it there, and type kneel before the statue of genth while your country has favor, a ghost of genth will appear. The ghost will give you a menu of options, one that will boost morale, one that gives you continuous health regeneration, and one that takes you to the underworld. The cost is respectively, 100, 50, and 1k. I have many screenshots of this temple, but I still don't know how to post pics. Thanks to "Sister Cheesecake" and "The Nave" for help getting to this amazing temple.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I tried kneeling once there, but I guess we didn't have favor because it didn't do anything. Anyways, I wanted to mention a similar shine such as the one you describe. Now whether or not it gives option, I don't know, I haven't tried, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyways. Its in The Falls in Maguuma Jungle. You have to go quite a ways to find it. I think I'll run to it sometime, but if someone already knows, do tell.

I think I know which one you're talking about. The fountain with the winged woman pouring water from a vessel. (Dwayna?) You can get the first two options I believe, but not the access to UW.

Wrong statue pal. The statue I'm talking about is one of Genth, not Meldranu. And yes, it does give you entrance to the underwold, I tried it. But my guess is there is more than one hidden statue, and that they all do something special. Thanks for posts.

Just for your guys info, I found one on a run from ascalon to yaks bend, check the full map on this site, its in the northern area of "ascalon foot hills" i believe, i haven't tried to kneel at it yet but thats its general area as far as i can remember

Favor... can you guys open the minimap "U" so we can see where you travelled to find it before you post the pictures...

For those who don't know, when we have favor, ALL statues such as these do something or another after kneeling at them, except for pre-searing.

That statue allows you entrance into teh entire UW. ToA statue does not give entry to all of UW from what I have heard ingame.

The best defense is a kick arse offense.

i didnt get it 100%.. are u saying, when we have favor, all statues will allow us to get health regeneration and morale boost...and is it only grenth who will give us access to uw, or are u saying that other statues than grenth can give us something extra, apart from health regen and morale boost?

please dont show disrespect becuz i didnt understand.

I think there are, though I have not found one as of current. There is one in ascalon, but I am not the one knowing about that one.

Yes, when we have favour try neel to every statue you find.

One thing not mentioned here is the statue in Sardelec just outside Ascalon. That one gives a quest, family ties I think. Its all with ghosts and quite touching, good thing ya aint a girl lol.

u have got it backwards i have explored the UW many times and know every nook and cranny about it i can even tell u were the ghost of gwen is those statues only offer a limited area of the UW as i have found all the known statues and tried them while the Temple of ages statues offer the whole UW for exploring and farming

I know the statue someone mentioned in The Falls. There's a collector that gives an armor piece (headgear I think, Brute's Helm for Warriors and Flame's Eye for eles...collects Jungle Troll Tusks maybe) right by there. In fact, I think the collector is right outside the door of the temple. It's a statue of Balthazar (sp?) I believe. It's fairly deep into the area. You'll follow a path between 2 ledges and the temple is on the Southern one I think.

So if you go to any grenth tempple and he asks you if you want an offering to the service of grenth it will send you to the underworld? Why dosnt it work and how can you get it to work?

To gain favor your "Area" must win the Hall Of Hero's and Hold it for 5 wins... Then you will have Favor till another Area does the same..
At the moment there is only Korea, America and Europe as area's

um i think but im not sure that u can get to FoW through a balth staue right of old ascalon i think its east its when ur goin to the breech

I found anotehr statue, one of Lysyrria or something. The mesmer god, I think. It gives you regen and morale boost, but no options, darn, I was hoping that it would give access to some other realm. :(

i think there is also another shrine like this in the northern shiverpeaks, i found it once, but had no idea of what it did. I'll try it out tonight and see what happens.

There are 3 Dwayna statues that can be found inside outposts, in Sardelac Sanetarium, Serenity temple and Druids Outlook as far as I know.

Sardelac gives the quest: Family Ties
Druids Outlook gives: Ancient Wisdom (or sumthn like that), you'll have to look op some Druids, they can be found just near the eye for profit quest.
If Serenity temple gives a quest I'm not sure yet.. havent tried it :)

When having favor Statues give moral boosts and health regeneration.
The statue of Balthazar in Ascalon (with Master Ranger Nenthe next to it) does not provide acces to FoW. Maybe some others do, but it seems highly likely to me if they were before Droknar, since you need to be infused before able to enter FoW and UW..

You don't have to be infused but ascended to enter.

You can get infused by running, but if you want to be ascended you have to beat the missions in the desert and beat your doppelganger.

You got me there.. I really thought when I read the updates it said infused, so I went to guildwars.net and re-read it..

And you are right.. Ascended.. my bad :)

But still, it would be weird for a statue previous to Droknar (ie somewhere in the jungle) to give acces to UW or FoW, since players arent able to enter it..

But then again.. maybe these statues were ment as secret entrances to more areas of UW.. who knows :)

Found that entrance in the first post - in lornars pass in some massive statue thing

We had favor and it gave me morale and that other thing and i hear u can eneter uw with those on but i couldnt as i went with henchies

We did hav favor btw
