I know that many people out there are MMO junkies. They tend to join one, play until they are burned out, then find a new one. So I'm wondering what everyone's roots are.
My 1st MMO was UO. It was like crack and I couldn't get enough of it. After about 1 1/2 years of playing every day for at least 4-6 hours a day I burned out on it. It was a long while before I took up another MMO, but I did get hooked on City of Heroes (actually I'm still playing it now after a few months break). I've also tried but disliked Lineage2. The game itself was great, but the people that are playing it really just make me not enjoy the game at all.
So what have been your expierences out there?

City of Heroes popped my MMO cherry. Got into beta 3 weeks before launch. I started playing it because I am a big comic book/superhero nerd, which got me hooked to MMO's. I was addicted to CoH for 6 months. Played EQ2 for 2 weeks and didn't like it. Then got WoW and played that for a bout 4 months til I went back to CoH. Also played in the Matrix Online beta, but didn't buy the game. I played the Guild Wars beta during the last weekend, and am now currently playing that. You can see me cruise around Guild Wars as Mortis Cain.
Not quite a noob to the MMO world, but definately not a vet either.

My first MMO was Shadowbane, a fully expansive pvp game. I then got bored of the excessive lag and ganking, so I began Horizons. The only refreshing aspect of that game was that you could play as a dragon...and that got old. I moved on to FFXI, which I played for a limited time, due to group dependency. I also BETA tested for Savage, which was a really fun game that never caught on (basically an hour game where you capture resources and destroy the enemy base). I'm currently playing WoW, which I've played since last November, and like a lot. I hope to add SUN to the list though...I'm blown away by the graphics!

I play L2 now and your are right that ppl make it unenjoyable at times. My first one was probably Diablo...i can't think of them all but i've played FFXI L2 Diablo Wow and others. I still play l2 ffxi a little. As far as non mmorpgs...CS is still my favorite... i played gunz but it's not catching my attention. It's Action Halflife on crack lol
Remember, If you get SUN online first help us get a good server so we can all play comfortably :P. Rate everyone :P

Diablo isn't an MMO, since you can only have 4-8 people in one game at a time. In terms of online gaming.. Warcraft 2, Command & Conquer, Duke Nukem 3D, and Diablo were my firsts.

my first was lineage 2, played coh for 2 months that game is a lot more laid back after playing lineage2 =) not as much grinding, and u can have fun from the beggining instead of trying to get to lvl 52+ to have fun in lineage 2, i also played wow for 4-5 months, then finally went back to lineage 2, i loved the pvp in that game, and the graphics made it more realistic, but u do have to havea hard head if u play that game =P especially playing in the server Kain.

my first was star wars galaxies. i was one of the first in the game and it was great! for about a week and a half. then the bugs started killing it. The PvP was the best part of the game. RAID forever! I also got into guild wars for a little while but i got burned out of that kind of fast.

lineage2 for about 1 and half years, but my 1st was ragnarok online man i loved that game i kinda still playing l2 but im getting sick of it in my time i made 4 60+ CHAR

started with mu(same developer for sun), then l2 beta test(was so excited), but decided not to buy a game and wait for private servers(just a bit calculations how much u need to spend a time to lvl up one character up to the maximum)..still playing it now..great private server(2.2k online), in 4 months u can get all characters up to lvl 80(and enjoy them, not just like on off-one char lvl60...earn some more money for skill enchants(l2 players know what im talking about), and so on....;D.
and if u are weak in game...u always ll winning about others who abuse u...learn to play the game, and then there ll be no sadness ;D(pk)...just fuuuun

my addiction to a one single game is Lineage II ...
playd on several servers ... low rate .. high rate .. done allmost all characters at max lvl .... been an guild master
20 ARCHERS nice gaming ....... the wars betwen the guild and the SIEGE is the best .... testing your skills on a human mind not AI

World of Warcraft from the day it came out. I had 2 sixties a pally and a warrior. I was in all the high raid instances from 7-11 every night. The game was very political and I was sick of it.

Final Fantasy XI was my first game, but i didn't like it to much. I hated how you could go back a level if you died and then you couldn't use equipment you just bought cuz of level req.

Hi all, My first MMORPG was MU+), then L2,WoW.
Now I play Risk Your Life(RYL), I think it is best in PvP.
and in gameplay.

Diablo 2 is a great game i still play it, but Lineage 2 and silkroad are my current mmos. Ive played ragnarok online, anarchy online, ffxi, shadowbane, eve, wow, asherons call 1&2, and the worst 1 i played.... D&D Online was horribly dissapointing.
My favorite fps is Medal of Honor Spearhead.. godly game

My first one as Mu Online, then Knight Online, then Gunz, and well i was just palying Silkroad Online but i just got freaking hacked and all my account info changed so i can't even get my pass to my email, i contact an admin but his answer was that they are not responsible for stolen or hacked accounts... well... what game do you guys recommend?

First mmo i played was MU online.Then knight online,gate to heavens,guild wars,and alot of more from E-Games.I also played flyff, legend of ares, thang online, fairyland, xiah, A3 india. i guess that where all.
