PLEASE HELP ME.
I am so F-ING sick and tired of waiting for the game to load. And then once it loads, the "authenticating user" takes even longer.
I find myself waiting up to 20 mintues to get into a game...and sometimes I get booted back to the login screen RIGHT before it's about to load.
I am about to toss this f-ing game out the window.
I am playing on a Cable modem and NONE of my other online games give me this much trouble.
Help??

Yeah sounds like a lack of system resources....RAM for instance....I am running 2 gigs of dual channel PC 3200 and I find myself to be the first person in the server almost all the time....Your connection speed dosent have anything to do with your load time. Your connection speed only applies to your client verification load time. The actual loading of the game is all about RAM and Processor.

You guys are right. The system is new Dell 8400 with only 512 ram. Radeon X800. Pentium 4 3.0g.
I need at least another 512 huh...
What about the video card. Outdated already?.

i'm running a 3.2p4 w/HT, geforce 6800, and 2x512 ddr and i still have a long load time. you're not alone, buddy.
apparently 2 gigs of ram will do the trick, at least that's what i've been hearing.

Na man your system looks fine to run BF2, I mean I got 2gig but still, You should maybe try doing a benchmark test on your Computer.
That way it will show results on the Computers components.
Other then that, you could try updating everything from motherboard, to chip sets ect.
But really I cant see one thing wrong??

CPU over heat
Loss of RAM
HD To full
Also try ending any Apps you have going that take up memory and quit all downloads, also it might be your ADSL/Cable/56k connection.
