i got a quest from Ironforge and im not sure where to go it says its in the searing gorge and it says to venture to the ruins of tharissun. I can't figure out where to go. please someone tell me

Searing Gorge, a lush landscape of trees and greens. Dotted with lakes plentiful with fish and other watery life. Wait...oh Searing Gorge....oh, the hellish domain of anything evil that resides just south of Ironforge....oh yes, now I recall.
To access Searing Gorge w/o gryphon master you 2 possible ways.
1) There lies an entrance south of Loch Modan but the passage requires a key (which I assume you need from questing but I bypassed this option). Once through this entrance brings you out in the Northeastern part of the zone.
2) Make your way through Badlands to the western border and just south of the Horde controlled city/town/outpost of Kargath is a mountain passage way that brings you into Searing Gorge. Now the Alliance/Horde Flight Paths lie in Northern area and is called Thoruim Point (that may be a bit off). Buts its fairly easy to reach and if need just ask in broadcast for the best directions to reach the safe spot. From there you should be able to figure out where you need to go.

yea i can get there easily but i can't find where the ruins are thats why i asked does anyone no where the ruins are

Actually then the Ruins of Thaurissan arent in Searing Gorge but located in Burning Steppes. The ruins are just west of Dreadmual Rocks and there are many Dark Iron Dwarves roaming the ruins!
The access to Burning Steppes is located in Redridge Mountains. The road leading North and out of town will take you directly there. Once inside Burning Steppes you can find the Alliance camp just to the right of the road up on a hillside.

You can see the road coming up from the South and if you look to the right of the road you can see a mountain area and that is where the Alliance reside. And you can also see where the ruins are in the middle of map.

thanks for telling me where it is but now when i go and click on the tharissun rock to get the information i need 12 of them theres nothing in any of them........please explain

I have read and heard a lot of reports of this quest being buggy for some folks. One guys stated that he opened about 50 of them and the quest never advanced beyond 0/12.
Some possible fixes I have heard for the problem include making sure that you are not in a RAID group. Apparently the quest wont advance if you are. Many people have tried to do this quest while waiting for UBRS RAID to fill up and it won't work.
I have also heard some banter back and forth as to whether Cosmos causes some issues with this quest. Some folks swear it does, others swear it doesn't I don't use Cosmos myself so I can not confirm or deny.
