who wants to help me kill glint. i have been in 3 groups and every group i have been in get's raped by glint. i heard you get good weapon drops if you kill him plus the 1k xp. so would anyone want to help me. my gamer tag is sonic j

I have done this but I was far into ascension and beyond before we tried it.
The clue to defeating glint comes to this.
DO NOT HIT GLINT when crystalite stance (or someting) is being used with magic. It will regenerate alot of HP and you will not be able to kill her.
Try to pack a group looking like this
2 or 3 warrior tanks.
Run gladiator defense/bonneties and keep bashing
Disruptive chop when she starts using crystaline stance
When health is low run out healing signet and run in
1 or 2 monks
Healing and protection is the way to go. Smithing will not be effective here unless you are able to disrupt crystaline stance. Healing is needed for the tanks.
Rest of the group find what you like but these people need to understand that they do not use spells when crystaline stance is used and they should be able to rez people as much as possible.
Rangers are nice with disruptive shot, mesmer disrupters are nice. Nukers are nice when crystaline stance is not on.
Keep bashing until she dies. Took as 15 minutes to do it.
(running arround with an egg is also a strategy but when we tried that we died)

From my experience, the easiest way to defeat Glint is to have a party with one or two Rangers with disruptive skills: Distracting Shot etc.
Have the Rangers stand and attack normally using no skills, waiting for Glint to use Crystal Hibernation (CH). The instant he uses CH the rangers must fire a disrupting shot to prevent Glint from healing.
The rest of the party attacks/heals as Normal.
Not sure on the eggs though sorry, somebody with more experience might be able to help you.

from what i can tell, they are just part of the story line, i dont think they have a use or effect the outcome of a battle with her

Glint will attack whoever is holding an egg. (Momma protecting her babies) You can use this to your advantage. Have a tank run around with the egg, boosting his defense and health.
Everyone is right about the rangers, or anything else that can interrupt, it's necessary. Blinding glint is also VERY effective. Apart from that, health degeneration skills stacked up on her work good, as she has incredibly tough armor.

Glinty wasnt that bad for me.
We had a full grp. 2 monks 2 warriors 2 necros.. lol and Swamp_Fox was the other warrior and he was AFK through the entire fight.. Warriors were /monk and /necro.. monks dont remember.. Necros were /mesmer /ranger.. Necro's and me the W/Ne loaded spell interupters and all of us casted them as glint was casting his hibernation spell. He never got it off.. I used Savage Slash worked like a charm..

Is it just me, or does any hex or negative condition only last half of the time that it should on Glint? While Blind works wonders, I still remember fatal error of thinking Mesmer's Blackout and Signet of Midnight would be of use.

The eggs are to make Glint attack the one holding them. Its something like making her mad, if you hold the eggs, she will only attack you until you drop them, or die.

I killed glint. It was actually very easy. We had a air spiker and a nuker that constantly knocked down. Then we had 2 tanks (didnt do anything) We had a protection monk and a healing monk, most importantly we had a necro that was using grnths balance (elite). We owned her in about 3 mins, noone died the who time, heres a creen below- I will gladyy help tio kill her again, my in game name is Music Maser or Musix Maser, I have 2 accounts :)
