ok I am loathe to blame anything but myself for my own performance but I really gotta ask this...
I was playing earlier today (utcomp 1.6a newnet of course) and I got beat. Well during the screenshot I noticed that my ping was 144 (my opponent was 35).
I watched the demo twice - once from each of our pov.
From my side, it felt like his LG was off the hook. Nailing me when I never even saw it coming. Or I saw it but it was so late I could not react.
When I watched the demo from his pov, the shots didn't really seem all that tbh...
With a difference in ping like this, are my observations founded? Was I at such a big disadvantage as it appeared?
I kinda hope someone says no because like I said, I prefer to purely blame my own performance.
thanks.

and btw, I probably would have had much bigger problems without newnet. I'm just testing whether newnet is the golden bullet I have been spoiled into believing in.
Thanks for your time.

It's 144 ping... nothing can possibly even the difference for you with that high of a ping. Newnet makes bad pings playable and evens the playing field for pings up to around 100 ping (from my experience). If you have a high ping you still have a huge disadvantage no matter what...
It's not enough to succeed, others must fail.
