LOL, I cant say this enough. It really doesnt matter what you choose as long as you pay it right and you have fun doing so. A ranger can attack fomr afar. The warrior dominates melee(sp). The necromancer is basically a vampire, and the mesmer disarms your enemy. Finally, the monk heals your wounded or fallen comrades. ANY TWO PROFFESIONS WORK WELL TOGETHER! Experiment by creating different characters and see which you like best. Thats my advice anyhow.

Do whatever sounds like the most fun to you. Keep in mind, later in the game, you have the option of changing your SECONDARY profession, allowing you to experiment more. If you're anything like most of us on here, you'll end up making multiple characters just to try some different combos and get different armor and weapons, thereby effectively ruining your chance of maintaining a life... lol

be anything but a warrior, they are too overpopulated and most of the kids and noobs chose it lol (no offence to warriors that are not noobs)

The only way to find out what profession to be is to play the proffession you are thinking of playing. Experiment.
