| Sharing Experience Points |

Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone can clarify something for me:
I have read at gamefaqs.com that in DS2 if you have multiple party members, gained experience points are 'shared equally' among them. Does this mean that if i had only ONE character in my party, he would attain more experience points than if i had a party of two or three?
Thanks in advance!

no. shared experience means everyone in the party receives the same exp for a mob kill. for example: if you use your main character to wipe out all the mobs in a areas, your whole party will gain the same exp that you main character received.

I can say after I played both posiblities that the experience gained from a monster is shared between all the party members equally(thou I can't say if you get more experience from a moster...like in Diablo for example where if you played in a party of 2 you get 65% exp from moster instead of 50%).and yes if you play alone(but with some pets...cause alone is very hard) you will advance more rapidly in levels..BUT a 4 party caracters is MORE stronger than 1 caracter+3 pets for example and this is especially because caracters become more powerfull than pets especilly in the final act where you start to get very good items..not to mention the autocast spells that can boost you a lot...and finnaly If you'll play only with caracters you'll noticed that the game is more challenging and there are more monsters and new stronger bosses apears...so you cand level up...the exp is not a problem(only the time is)because you can reenter in the game and some of the monsters and some of the bosses(very important)are respawn...and finnaly one of the most important thing is that the chance of finding magic items is cumulative and soon enough all your party members will be in set or unique items from bottom to the head :)

@Sebasabi
Any proof for that? This sounds highly unbelievable.

I'm going to touch on a few things here:
1. Expereience points are divided up between all non-pets chars in your group (not ones in the Inn). The fewer people you have in your group the more exp pts for each. Example, 9 times out of 10 my four person groups finish the merc level around level 44 (not using Chant of Scholars). I am working on a solo melee char (using NPCs just to accomplish secondary tasks them sending them to the Inn). Just finished with the Morden chief and am about to go into the mines and he is a level 40.
2. Characters in the Inn do not gain exp pts like everyone else. They do get a boost in skills though when you have them regain your party and they are more than 20 levels behind you main char. They are brought up to two levels less than you main char. Example, if your main char is a 36 and you were to pick up Vix (level 12), he would be brought up to level 34 along with the 22 skill points to assign as you wish.
