If you use the double exp scroll while ascending will you get 100k exp or will it still be 50k?

50k only. the 50k is the xp u get from ascending, NOT killing the doppleganger. which if i recall gives 100xp or so. so you would get 50.2k rather than 50.1k
just like u woudlnt get 2k xp with a scroll from doing a mission or a bonus.

^^ He's right, I tried it once before I asked anyone, waste of a scroll, oh well, they're cheap 'cause of the cap now. Also, you have to beat your doppleganger in 50 secs to get the full 50000 exp. I don't know what you get if it takes longer than that.

OKay....Ascension. It is right around the corner. I am looking for build help and strategy tips to fight my mirror. I want to make this an quick takedown. What I want to do is exploit my own weakness. Some questions: does the doppleganger come equiped just like you are as you go in? Assuming that is true. Maybe I should fore go the pet altogether and work on a build that I can turn around on myself. Any ideas will be helpful. (UC Cat..I'm listening bud) I am a lvl 20 R/Me, I have dust and spike traps, short and long range bows, winter and winds spirit etc. What has worked for some of the rest of you?

cool, didnt realize, Thanks. I didn't see anything specificaly for R/Me. I plan to not bring anything Mesmer at all. If anyone disagrees give me a shout.

Thought I'd come back and end this thread. I did beat the dopple. I brought only ranger stuff, mostly useless stuff and spirits. I ran up to him, he took out the axe after casting some spells. I creamed him and got the bonus. The axe didnt do the damage his bow does, so I had it in about 30-35 seconds. Just used power shot and penetrating shot is all.

perfect and easy way to kill doppleganger with ranger is:
equip 4 or 5 traps that need to charge longtime and ask a lot of energy...
just go in, dont use the traps yourself
but doppleganger will start to cast all traps first
just relax, sit down if ya want
and kill him buy shooting arrows
you kill him before all traps are placed
there you are... ASCENDED
