Questions Answered Here

I am starting this topic in hopes that people will feel free to ask any question they want here, and find an answer. There are a lot of topics that are just one simple question that gets answered in one post, and I'm hoping to eliminate that a little bit.

So, ask away. I will try to answer any simple question that doesn't exactly fit into any other topic. If I can't, there are tons of other knowledgeable players on here that can offer advice too.

Please exclude things that would be complicated enough to justify their own topic, or things that already HAVE their own topic. i.e. "Whats a good build for a monk" or "Where is a good place to farm" I will refer questions like this to the previous topics.

This area is more for questions like:

"How do I automatically follow someone?" (click on their name and press space bar)

"What the heck is Dwarven Ale?" (drinking it makes your screen go fuzzy, the more you drink, the fuzzier it gets)

You get the idea... GO! :)

hey ive posted this elsewhere but as you asked, i was just wondering what the best way of a level 7 warrior/monk making money.

how do I get the extra 30 attribute points ? - how do I enter the arena in Amnoon Oasis ?

OK , I've got 2 newbie questions for you :

1. How do you enter the arena in Amnoon Oasis ?
( nearby the merchants you can see clearly a closed gate and if you look at the minimap you see the sign of a portal - but it won't open ! Don't tell me you need to ascend first- I've done it and nothing happens .... )

2. I've finished all the missions and I have 170 attribute points . How can I get the extra 30 points I am supposed to have ? Which are the quests that can give you these ?[/B]

Hi,

I can give the answers to both.

1. You cannot enter the arena anymore just as in Henge of Denravi. It is united now as one, just go to Team Arenas in Lions Arch. With a bit of luck you get placed in the desert arena to slaughter your enemies.

2. You can get a mission called the Forgotten Ones in Augury Rock, after you have done this mission you can get another mission called Forgotten Wisdom from the guys you need to speak to to end the Forgotten Ones, do his mission and take your XP and Atrribute points.

Also you can get a mission called Heroes Path (or whatever it is called, can't remember it clearly) for a woman called Vanyi just near the storage in Droknar's Forge. After you've done this go to the Copperhammer Mines and go throught the southern exit. After you've done this speak to the woman outside and follow her. In the end you need to kill her, done this? Go to Vanyi again and take you XP and the extra attribute points

Rangers of the world unite!

Hi there I am a newbie and therefore know very little (border-line nothing) about giuld wars, I mean i didn't even know what and RPG was untill a week ago! I've played as a ranger warrior for about three days and I REEEALLY whant to know

a) If any animals can be charmed (once you have the skill of course ;))
b) If your pet gains experience only for the creatures it kills
c) what is the BEST animal to charm?

Yes. Of course once you charm a pet, you cannot charm another until you get rid of your old one. There is a animal trader outside of Old Ascalon that will take your old pet from you if you do decide to get rid of him.

Not positive, but I think he gains experience for kills you and your party make. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

There is a spider in the underworld that you can charm that does the best damage. If you want to go for intimidation factor, try charming a bear...They are frikin huge!

indeed u can, 'runners' make a business out of this by charging a fee per person to take them down.

correct, your pet needs to ba active and with you, gains exp. points just as you do.

Dunno about the FoW spider, but the black widow in the underworld rocks, high armor, high damage, and poison... *sigh* if I only didnt suffer from arachnaphobia I'd have one :S

Hiya, it's the newbie ranger again.....

Can any1 give me a list of animal companions and where to find them and their attacks and stuff. that wud be cool, cos the Melandru's (sp?) stalker is so comon, I figured it would be nice to have an usual pet that is also good in combat.

Animal list that i cna think of:
Melandrus stalker - in pre-searing from quest
Lynx - found in the kryta provence
Wolf - in pre-searing and certain parts of the shiver peaks
Bear - can be found in pre-searing but impossible to charm without much skill and help, found thought the mid-southern shiver peaks
Dune Lizard - Cyrstal deserts (theres 2 just out side ammon oasis infont of the teleporter)
Spiders - In the underworld

Thats all i can think of for now, enjoy :)

Chaotic Axe - lv 20 W/Mo
Chaotic Shock Warrior - lv 20 W/N
Chaotic Fire Monk - lv 20 E/Mo

well thank you for the information, but these 'runners' you speak of are nothing for me. Only reason I was wondering was because I couldn't figure out the maps I've found here.

Maybe I'll try that run in the future, but thanks for the help.

when you go out in the coutryside, or other monster laden area and kill as much as possible to get high level drops.

Anyone know what the restrictions of being customized are? Can you not equip a customized weapon with another character? Does it not deal the 20% extra? Does it deal much less/no damage?
