| Having 6 in Your Party in Veteran Mode |

I've had 6 members in my party since I started Veteran mode. I paid to increase my party of 4 to 5 slots and now I can have 6 in my party total.
Now the way i did this was I invited Vix into my party intially, then dismissed him. Shortly after I invited both Sartan and Finala to my party.
Now am I crazy to assume that I shouldn't be able to have 6 in my party in Veteran mode? Perhaps dismissing a party member allowed for my party capacity to increase?
The party size doesn't really matter too much on bosses since someone is always lying around dead anyways but as you go through the game its nice to have that extra pack space and damage output.

6 person party would be awesome!
i would use my dualwielder main, eva my 'voker, my beloved direwolf and my 2 mages. >.> oh lol 1 more hmm... maybe amren *cough mr. spock cough*
half-giants aren't my thing, they are big an clunky and always seem to be in the way.

so...what is the best party...4 caracter each one specialized in some class that is clear..and the other two? another melee with a mage(nature or combat) or another 2 mages one combat and one nature...I excluded 2 rangers because I find that class quite weak...now I already have 2 melee(me and lothar),taar is nature and deru ranger...I was thinkink to send Lothar to the inn and take finala instead as a combat mage...but if you say about this bug maybe I'll keep Lothar...sartan is a grat warrior but I already have two...or 2 pets instead?...I don't know....nogame you already finished the game could you make a breaf list on what caracters offers to join you,where they are and what class they are secialize in

Try to balance your party out. If possible, make sure you have one nature mage that is strickly used for healing. Having a ranger is a very good idea.
The rangers excel in boss fights and against the dark wizards its not uncommon to let everyone else die and just pluck away with the ranger. They do very high dps per shot and (in my sessions) their armor levels are right up there with the melee class. Tough to take down, high dps and great range make a ranger a useful ally.
Either way, balance is key.
Through mercenary mode I used:
Main (Combat Mage)
Lothar (Dual Wield)
Deru (Ranger)
Taar (Total Healer)
Through veteran mode I used:
Main (Combat Mage / Lightning)
Finala (Combat Mage / Fire)
Lothar (Dual Wield)
Sartan (Dual Wield)
Deru (Ranger)
Taar (Total Healer)
You'll notice i used two Dual Wielding half-giants. Two words "blast wave". Such a ridiculous power and it's good in just about any situation. Since they are dual wielding they have a very high damage output and never really die because of the healer.
My combat mages are different specializations just so if a resistant monster comes in my path, I'll have that loss of damage covered by a 2nd mage.

I was thinking as the same party as yours...but now it's too late because I have already lvl 21 and melee 19,rage5,nature 10,combat 5...I didn't spent any skill points because I didn't konw what was the best class for me...but I think a dual wield will do(u're right about the blast wave)...Lothar is already a dual wield...so bye bye Sartan:(...but I want to make 2 combat mage one fire and one lightning...can you tell me if there is another caracter specialize in combat magic above Finala?

my veteran team (for usual play anyway)
Me (Ranger) mainyl thunderous strike (sp?) take aim vs bosses
Taar Ice AoE Dam , Heal , Buffs , Summoning Pet
uses that icicly spray thingy special
Dire wolf (over 4k hp now lol)
Sartan 2hand hammer , crumbling blow (AoE dam + Stun)
Lothar w/ Shield , using provoke (Enemies attack him)
works pretty well hehe.
i had finala a time being instead of direwolf , but i was tired of her dying all the time anyway.
In this setting , nobody ever dies , or falling unconcious.

Were the heck do I find Sartan becose i forgot ... can't find him for this side quest / dungeon , and no other halfbreed will do ...

Sartan can be found in a hole in Windstone fortress. You first have to find the lost garisson and then you can ask to liberate him from the situation in the hole. After being freed he will thank you and ask if he may come along. Hope it's of use to ya.
