I have been having a problem with lag lately in GW and have been wanting to get a new internet service... so which is better: cable or fiber optics? the cost doesnt matter i jsut simply want to no which one is faster
Wait...you mean to tell me that Guild Wars isnt real life?

i would say cable. Plus if u want it to go faster remember that its not just ur internet speed so make sure u dont do anything at the same time like listen to music. Try and keep few programmes running that u only need running, like u could exit msn or owt. Plus it helps if u put the texture on lowest cos it doesnt have to load as many graphics up, hope this has helped.

fiber optics has the capability to be much faster! If the provider supplies the speed is the hitch, but it has huge capability and is usually very expensive, the money is no object would be nice to say :D

I used to run GWs decently with a stock 64mb video card, and 256 RAM and cable internet. Now i have bought and upgraded my ram to 782mb and my video card to 256 mb. i can run it perfectly on highest quiality and 100mhz screen refresh. The game is absolutely beautiful.
