Yeah, the upgrades on blue, purple, and gold items are random, so you can get anything mixed with anything. It makes a lot of gold items pretty useless. When the upgrades all match or complement each other, they can sell for like 30-100k.

If you expert salvaged it, I'd bet you'll just get the staff wrapping of fortitude +24 health. You're probably best off by just selling it to the merchant, though you could most likely find SOMEONE that would buy it for a plat or two.
