ok i finally beat mercenary. now i'm in veteran destroying the morden towers and i thought to myself... why am i still playing? so yeah, why do you guys bother to go onto veteran mode even tho its the same missions and such? the only difference i noticed is they tried to make the mobs "tougher" by giving them a crap load of hp.

Well currently im on elite mode, and almost finished it. The only motivation i find playing further is items/better characters. Well im happy i get those items, that makes me happy. Contrary, i guess there wouldn't be any point.
Besides i dont understand WHY rpg game developers do not modify quests on other difficulties? Im sure, the games would be way more interesting to play. Also, i dont say they should change the quests completely, they could just improve the REWARDS (now as in dsII, u get same uniques, what is really a simple waste for high lvl characters), or smth like that..
Anyway, enjoy the game.

well the motivation is about the same as in diablo 2.
i mean , i never was a pvp there, and yet the pure pvm aspect of the game kept me caught for years.
all about the "ultimate" character ^^
having different characters , with different layouts , with the best possible items.
for the quests , allthough some side quests are worth doing them , nobody says you HAVE TO do them.

i guess what kinda set me off last night when was doing mercenary was that i got a set glove drop from the mobs and it was from the thena's serenity set. i was like WTF?! man this is gay and turned it off.
