| Slow connecting to account server and game servers. |

The game sometimes take 5-10 minutes and sometimes longer to connect to the account server and then once selecting a game server it can also take teh same amount of time of longer. The spec of the system is
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 1 (2600.xpsp2.040919-1003)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
BIOS: BIOS Date: 06/09/03 11:43:12 Ver: 08.00.09
Processor: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.40GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
Memory: 2558MB RAM
Page File: 550MB used, 2623MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
It can take over an hour to find a game server to connect too. Does anyone else have this problem?
We are also having the problem of the game just freezing for about 30 seconds just enough time to get killed.
Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Here comes the bad news . These are problems that we all have had . You can try making sure the game has acess to all of the ports it needs through your firewall . Also look for low ping servers .
Sometimes the game just wants to piss you off .

it sounds like your trying to play BF2 on Dial-up!
My experience with this is similar, but no way near as long as yours! When I go to connect to a game, after it finish's the initial load, and waits to connect my computer takes the longest then any other computer at our LAN parties, and my computer is the 3rd of 12 computers for performance and speed. I've got celerons beating my full Pentium! Damn!
