| How to be a N00b Warrior in 10 easy steps |

This is something I cooked up for my Guild. Unfortunately some people appear to have taken it to heart, the wrong way :S
1) Sprint is the only way to move.
Why did they make the skill if not to use at all times
2) Aggro range.
Nice of the builders to put that little circle on the radar.
Use it to keep that distance away from your team. Use sprint for this.
Keep an eye on those gay ranger dudes. They sometimes try to sneak past you. No-one should ever be in front of you though!
3) Adrenaline all the way.
Use only adrenaline based skills. You need your energy to sprint.
No-one will mind that you have to keep fighting to keep your adrenaline up, so it's okay to sprint on to the next group. Someone will res the dead teammembers, right?
4) Screw res signet!
If they die, it's their fault for not being an Uber Tank, like you!
5) Monks have unlimited energy.
If they say they're out, they're just being lazy. Just sprint ahead. They will heal.
6) Monks and mages are gay.
Geez. why don't they buy better armor? They get killed everytime I'm beating up a boss half the map away. They can't deal with those measely archers and warriors minions swamping them!
7) Swords are gay and axes for trees.
Always, and I mean always use a hammer. Even if the enemy consists of a zillion little buggers which do heavy AoE damage but can be taken out with two axe-swings. Doing MAXIMUM 500+ damage with every blow is all!. So the thing is slow, so I can't defend myself with a shield, so I do more damage with a single blow than my enemy has health. MAXIMUM 500+ DAMAGE IS ALL!
8) Don't read chat.
It's all whining about something called 'rushing' anyway. Geez, stick to important stuff people. If there's so much chatter you can't see your drops mentioned, turn off your team-chat channel. They can still see your remarks.
9) ALWAYS USE CAPS IN CHAT.
Otherwise they can't read what you have to say.
10) Try not to be bothered that you never seem to get re-invited into teams for the next mission, are on everybodies ignore-list and are in you're twentieth guild this week. There's a lot of whino's and cry-babies in this game. Live with it.

Hilarious!
You forgot, "Don't bother calling targets, and don't worry about who other people want you to attack. The enemy healers and mesmers don't even have hammers and therefore pose no threat. Always go for the bosses first -- you're the hero of the group, after all."
And, "If you do happen to glance at the chat window and see some wimpy monk scolding you, let them know who's boss by calling them a 'noob'. That'll teach 'em. Try to get into a flame war with as many people in your group as possible."

I have nothing to argue against you if you never die. ;)
As long as someone is able to complete the mission, we all get the 1k xp.
Of course if you die just once, we also have every right to call you a noob. ;) (No offense towards you. At least you have a set of goals that you live by unlike other ppl. Nicely done.)
Well, I one time wanted to have the lowest credibility on guildwars.gameamp and went almost to -200 in credit, but in the end decided to change my ways and have positive credit instead.

The other suggestions are pretty good, but seriously, you don't expect a N00b warrior can count past ten do you? That's stuff for advanced courses.

Well if they was in football they would be benched for a blocker leaving their spot to be a running back lol.
There are some kool warriors out there but most the kool ones were made as proof that a warrior can help a party :)

Best sign of seeing a noob warrior is when leader says dont attack that group and he runs in attacking anyway!
Another is he sees a red dot in one of the bottom corners of the compass and goes off after it even though we're suppose to complete a quest. This is a true story, the guy loses a rare rune b/c of this and complete disappears far from the compass and dies during our 'Villany of Galrath' quest.

I totally agree about the sprint thing. Those warriors need to learn to slow down, sprint is more useful for PvP. I'll see if I can't add something to the list of, how many is it now... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... umm... I'm a warrior I can't count that high.
(just kidding I'm a ranger and I can count all the way to turquoise)
ok here's my addition to the list:
"Make sure to be a secondary monk. It makes you totally invulnerable to everything, no matter what."

Also they might as well just make a "warrior skill setup" that has the exact same skills as everyone else who plays a Wa/Mo because that's all they ever take.. EVER.

Ooh how about:
Ctrl-Click every action you can. People like to know what you're doing. Atleast I think that's what all the "WTF you doing?"s are about.
Make sure to Ctrl-Click any condition you hve on you at least three times. Monks have difficulty reading and also forget you have bleeding on you. Bleeding papercuts are dangerous. keep clicking untill it goes away.
Thank you all for the replies and keep 'm comming. It might be we can actually come up with 101 ways to spot a N00b warrior :-)

Don't forget! Always use "Charge!" while in a mob the size of Alaska! (Actually, that's a bad idea...) Curse at people, try to feel like the boss, always shoot the catapult at Fort Ranik 5 seconds too late.

Its also funny to use caps when you gain a skill point. For example: WTF I AM NOT LVL 21 WTF NOT EVEN PLUS 20 LIFE WTF IS HAPPENING WTF THIS SI SO GAY WTF I WANA BE LVL 56!! Yea i do that a lot to annoy ppl lolz

LOL this post actually made me sign up for an account because I love it, it is hilarious
Anyways you must mention that "Gladiators Defense is the best elite in the world" Not because its the only elite your noob warrior can get, but because its the only elite you ever need ever.
Keep in mind when your noob warrior runs into a mob and survives and all the enemies are defeated, it was all because of Gladiators Defense, not because of the 2 Ele's bombarding the mob, NO, it was "LOL they hit themeselves in the face.... GLADIATORS DEFENSE" the noob warrior can solo anything with just gladiators defense.
They cant lose in PVP either because they can take out the enemy warriors first because they are the biggest threat after all, they have the best armor. Just target the enemy warrior first and use gladiators D because they are just as dumb as the monster AI and will continue to attack you even though it is damaging to them, they will never stop, because you aggroed them just like the mosters in the game. PVP is just as easy as farming, just attack things that do physical damage, your group can handle the rest.
I could go on for hours about the overuse of this skill, but we all know its the best skill ever.

I like gladiators defense (sorry folks) but my warrior is not a rusher, she can heal herself and i also use it with shield stance and bonettis defense. I am a tank, i pull the emenies together so we can nuke them! (of course, we wait for the elementalist to have energy).
Edgwalkers is coming.

A-net were nice enough to give us free warps, everywhere all the time, use it:
WAIT!? Now why would I wanna do that? If (!) something would go wrong and I was risking to die I could always warp away before that happens anyways. Problem solved!
Also, I l0v3 R3sSuRr3c7. Monks and Eles don't need their energy anyways!
And btw, the first post was just magnificent! Way to go

Hahaha, I had to sign up an account to leave my thoughts too. :P
I play both a 20 Warrior/Monk, and a 20 Monk/Elementalist (Healing Prayers = 16). I can TOTALLY relate to this list. Just last week, I joined a party that had four warriors, an elementalist, and myself (monk) for the Aurora Glade mission. Two of the warriors were spamming Frenzy... which, of course, causes you to receive double damage. Needless to say, they died A LOT since I couldn't keep up with all of the damage they were receiving... plus, the other two had the annoying habit of running off in their own direction, encountering monsters, and then complaining about how I wasn't keeping them alive when the rest of the party was going in the RIGHT direction.
What tops it off? I asked one of them if they were using Frenzy, and they said "no"... then, later in the mission, they couldn't remember to take their finger off the CTRL key when they went to click the Frenzy icon. 9_9 I let him die a couple more times (not like I had much choice either way) to drive the point home that Frenzy = bad vs. casters.
Contrarily, my warrior uses mostly adrenal skills, plus Flurry when I need an adrenal boost... and Healing Breeze and Restore Life as last-resort skills. But then again, I'm not heavily involved in PVP yet, so... once I get there, I'm sure I'll have to revise my skillset.

I love it!!!!! Kudos to you. Although....the way Rangers stand is a little gay With their hip all stuck out to one side like a hooker. Damn! Why cant Rangers stand like Necros, as if there about to rip something apart!!!

Actually, I use Sprint a lot with my W/N character. It's great for rushing to someone's aid, keeping up with an overly-enthusiastic group, and scouting ahead to gather recon for the group. If we're going to rush a group of baddies instead of pulling I use it to charge in to make sure I get targeted by the enemies first...gives me a chance to throw some Curses on their front lines before the others are in range as well (I like to throw Shadow of Fear on their heavy hitting melee attackers straight away).
Oh, and running. It's good for running. ;)

This is hilarious and fun...okay here's my attempt...:P
"Make sure to draw on the mini map and ping it as much as possible so your team knows which way to go...I also find it helpful to draw little faces and such on the mini map to distract them. If you do happen to die, make sure to completely cover the map by coloring on it (this is especially helpful if you ever happen to be on a run...)"

... one of my characters is a warrior. Please, can you help me? I'm looking for an elite skill. Here is the description:
Umbrella against AoE. Skill. For infinite seconds your armor makes all AoE become just annoying graphic effects with no damage on you. The skill will end if any noob monk screws up (Attribute: Best f***ing 15k armor ever)
P.S.:
PLEASE: Am not the bloody Pavlov's dog, so stop that bloody "ding, ding" because I am not gonna segregate saliva thinking that it's dinner time.
ADVICE: Never choose a warrior as your first AND ONLY character (normally warrior/monk, of course -.- ), that way you will learn the diversity of the game, the language of the people around you and understand what they talk about, you will understand their limits and potentials and you will be more helpful and helped (develope your empathy sense, please). This is a MULTIplayer GAME.
WARNING: THERE IS NO "BEST" ARMOR, "BEST" BUILD, "BEST"... in this game. It's all ballanced and depends on many different factors so results will vary depending on the circunstances. If you want, think on your armor as a condom: It can break...
NOTE: This is the third game online I've ever played and in none of the ones i played before have I seen so much bad temper, "noob-harrasment", etc. Guys (to whom this might refer) try to be nicer, remember that in order to play this game -whatever the way you play it- you had to be a NEWBIE (not the f***ing "noob" word) once. Some of us think that these games should be used to relax and leave real problems a little aside... so even if your think that that is a "gay" attitude, and you think you are the best and you got the unique right to shove your bad temper up everybody else's bum, that your life depends on how good you think you play; even if you have never have a real problem in your life, if you don't find a girlfriend, if you parents don't want to pay warcraft and this was the only choice you had for your birthday......... or even if you have bigger problems, please, try to be considerate with everyone else. If you think you can't handle that you can just either play a normal single-player game or make yourself a Guild and get some people like you so you can have fun screaming to each other all the time and leave the rest of us in peace.... or you can always just get a life.
TEAMWORK: Could work good or could work wrong, but this is part of the game. Neither we get pay for playing with you nor you paid more than anyone else... even when there are better or worse players, we are all equals here and we all deserve to be treated as such.... so I guess you should think it twice before letting your frustrations go. Yeah, I know, it's easy to "aggro" everyone when you don't acctually have to be face to face with them. Let's put it this way: Before playing, get someone to give you a good kickin on your balls to see how it feels, maybe that way you can understand how you piss sensitive minds off... yes, yes, I said "sensitive"... no, it doesn't mean gay... oh, that's ok, go and look for "sensitivity" in the dictionary, no one is gonna notice...
I hope I didn't get too out of the tone of the topic, but I felt like this was something needed to be said. :P
Love the thread... should get myself a sleigh to rate so many good posts :) ... which brings me to a last point: MORE SENSE OF HUMOUR, don't be greedy: I KNOW YOU ALL GOT LOADS OF IT to spare...

Well Danny, allthough you make an almost complete U turn in the thread here, it does have merrit imo :-)
There is a lot of bashing of 'noobs' and 'newbies'. I differentiate between these. The latter are people who are, well new, to the game, mission, map, whatever. These you have to be patient with and help out if you can. The former is someone who by all rights should've got 'it' by now. WHo keep doing the same stupid things again and again and not learning.
Someone who gets on a newbie's case ina mission and keeps at it ad nauseum, would be a noob in my book.
