| Topic with all the common problems |

I have a proposition for the site managers. Just open a topic, or you could use this one with all the common problems and a brief answer, like you did with the bugs. and PINNED it. the job is not so hard. you could just copy paste some good answers from the posts till now. this would help a lot because a lot of useless post would be save
here are some common problems that I noticed:
- where do a I find the 20 books?
- the mysterious set(and all that involves…secret level etc)
- what about the cavers ( earth ..etc)
- where are the screenshots and the saves located?
- how do I get into the arena in Aman’lu?
- Arinth the mad staff Quest
- Lelani’s Sorrow Quest(where are located the items)
- Treasure hunt Quest
- Amren’s vision (where are the mushrooms located)
- Spirits of Aranna Quest( where are located the ghost)
- the quest that have requirements
These are the ones that came in my mind just now

I use the "Print Screen" button :) on my keyboard is near the Scroll Lock and Pause in the upper right part
then go to My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2\Screenshots\ where are the screens you have just taken

Well I see some of you already are in favor of this so I’ll post here some of the answers. Feel free to add things at this post to make it as complete as possible. The site manager could edit this in order to get a more appropriate look

there are 3 items , well 4 actually.
bucket, book and token , and a mysterious stone that drops from the level 100 ??? guy.
you need them to access a secret area. Als read that guide on how to kill the lvl 100 guy:

- the bucket you find in arinth the mad/mage prison(you'll find the bucket in a secret where Arinth the mad is in the beginning(An elven prison),just on the right side of the door when you enter the room where he is, there is a torch that will open the secret zoom on your compass to see the blue dot that represents the lever that opens the secret...then go back, the secret room is on the right as you climb the stairs).
- the book you get for completing the arannas books quest (act 3 town)
- the token you get for completing the aman lu arena quest from the 10’th chest.
once you have all 4 items , you can go to any chant shrine , using a chant (written on the mysterious stone , but backwards: ‘columnarius
sectorus’) and it teleports you to the mysterious cave.
after you enter the secret level you’ll need to have with you the mysterious set and for the last door need to have all items equipped, the chant to open the door is 'requo furtivum ixo' obtain from “quit from vex”
The answer to the Chris Gorsky riddle(posted by MontgomeryBurns).I also found some other possibilities, maybe I’ll make a map or something, but I’m a little lazy now :
“well I cracked the riddle hehe.. and I got a very nice gun.....and yes a gun....more like a flamethrower only that it spits bolls of fire incredibly fast...
here’s the answer...a very long one...but the trick is that you have to shot a fire in every direction, and when he says you hit a wall that’s the wrong way....always go where the arrow flies into darkness...and when you hear a faint humming noise you are on the right track...anyway here’s the combo

“Trade the Agallan Relic with the Half-Giant in Kalrathia (or however it's spelled). He's standing at the top of one of the walls of the city, and will give you a bundle of Harpy Feathers for the relic.

“Actually, in Act 3 you get a quest to go into each one.
- SPOILER -
You are to get a staff from someone in the town in Act 3 and visit each of the three Caves (Earth, Frozen, Pheonix) to imbue the staff.
Once imbued you take it to a cave in the desert to unlock the dark seal that is in the 4th seal's cave.”
By me: the location of the caves:

- Jeweled Shaft(Snowbrook Valley): from the Snowbrook Valley teleport just to the right after you past the bridge

There is a lot to write and you could find many of the ghosts by just following the quest details

The saves of the game are kept in here: My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2\Save\*.* here are 4 files, 2 of then are your current save(“{name}.ds2party” that has information about your party and “{name}.ds2radar” that has information about your map) and 2 are back-ups from the last save you made before your current one(“{name}.ds2party.bak” and “{name}.ds2radar.bak”). So actually you have the last two saves from the game.
The only thing you have to do is to delete the “.bak” from the names of the files and they will become your current save (and let’s hope you are not a maniac that saves from minute to minute and this save is from a little back and it’s not bugged)
Other responses:
- restart completely the game(bad idea)
- wait for the next patch that resolves your problem
- get an unofficial fix from a site or something
- get very angry and shot your computer then bur the CD’s(just kidding)

I got a Problem, if you want to enter the first door(number 1) in the description) to find the "silver riddle" you need some sort of key, where do i find the key?
I also have another question, where do I find Armen, the one who has the quests with the mushroom-rings?

The Key is given you by the one who gives Deru the Quest. He's standing somewhere in the South of Aman-Lu.
Amren is also in Aman-Lu, in the tavern.

End of act one, finished each possible quest, simply cannot enter portal. the hand icon comes up, but there is simply no entering the portal... could I be missing something?

So you killed Trilisk and broke the crystal and you talked to the soldiers that appear…that means it’s a bug
Try to reload a previous save and try again. If you don’t have one read this section:

Indeed, #10... although I had thought it a problem with not finishing enough quests, so I went about doing so, that would make a save game from back then unavailable sadly...
Odd that noone else hass had this bug, if indeed that is what it is. I suppose I could try to start over, knowing what I know now, it would go quicker... bummer really, cause this is one of the best games I have played in this genre, and though it disagrees with some, that includes Diablo 2 which I completed.

Act 2 chapter 4,please help me!!!!
When begin the chapter, i can't open the south gate in the Amalu Town to go to the South Forest.When I try to open this gate,it wrote "the gate was locked by the the order of.....".
What will I do now?.

before you can leave, you need to go to the town hall and talk to some people in there. eventually after a long, tedious conversation you can open the gate. also look for the numerous side quests while your still there.
