Apparently there are two or three races in Huxley. Most FPS's don't take race into account very much, while RPG's generally weigh different stats according to race. How do you think racial differences will be used in the game?

In the documentary video, it says that each faction will have 2 races's. The Sapiens will have "one" the dominent human type race bestsuited for command and heavy combat, and the other sapien sub-race is the "Syn" a more tactical, and straegic race.
The alternative races are the "Alterravers" and the "Alternix." The "Alterravers are "Orc-like" Brutes that are small-minded and focus on intense frontline combat with a stong sense of pride and honor. The "Alternix" (the pale looking glowing eyed race) is focused more on tactical and specialized fighting, like espionage or assassination.
This is all I know so far. And it is my interpretation of what i have seen, it is most likely much more deep. I can not wait for this game to come out, it looks awesome.

I don't think the quadrupedal Zergy-lookin' race will be playable. It's likely just referred to as a race because... it's a species... but it's likely going to be an NPC adversary of both playable races, just something to toss into the mix and screw with both sides when you least expect it. And will likely have many plot elements attributed to it, if I had to guess.
I'm slightly concerned with what I've seen, the videos/trailers all show the same "characters", in the same armor/appearance/etc. I'm certain there will be a variety of weapons, but what do we know about differing types of armor/clothing? What about physical appearances in any kind of character generation? Obviously that sort of thing isn't found in an FPS, but part of what makes an MMO alluring is the prospect of personalization.
I read something somewhere that Huxley allows for letting people purchase buildings/structures that they could decorate and use, though I'm curious to see how far they're taking the "personalization" part. I wouldn't want my character to look like every other 8th person (given that each faction has two races, and two genders).

I was reading about Huxley's races and the Hybrids are solely NPC's in the game. They are sterile mutants living in the wastes who band together to raid both races' territories. As a lower level player this is where most of your action will come from, defeating Hybrids as part of quests.
The example given went like this: (Your player character does not yet belong to a clan but is going solo.) You are a low level Sapien living in an apartment in Nostalonia. You have some combat skills and a weapon, for this Brave New World is a dangerous place. You hear rumors that a local gun dealer had a shipment hijacked by Hybrids and needs a bounty hunter to find and retrive the shipment. You take the job.
After investigating you learn that the guns were jacked by a gang of Hybrids that live in the sewers. They are too much for one man to handle. So you either: a) find some other players to help you for a cut of the reward, or b) hire some (NPC) mercenaries to help you. Then you set out to clean out the sewers. The shipment is located and secured. You get your monetary reward and presumedly some of the weapons/ammo/armor you took off of the dead Hybrids.
The article I read also mentioned that players can personalize their character's physical appearance so hair, face, etc. will not all be limited to half a dozen models. The Koreans are building this for the North American market where individuality is more important than in the Asian market. I look forward to customizing my character, his weapons and armor.

Yeah on this topic i'm anxious to see what attribute bonus each race will be granted. Like the alteraver's having a high strength attribute and so forth. This game seems to have so much potential and i cant wait.

Well the Hybrids cant be played, but there will be other races i think but they can not be played. The races we can play are Sapiens One and Syn, Alternative Altraver and Alternix.
I dont know what the Sapiens will have for special abilities, maybe they will be like alround race. Alternatives like Altraver might get more HP, strength and armor but will be slower. While Alternix will be quick and expert snipers but wont got much HP.
