Scariest moment so far potential spoilers

For me there were 2 that just hit me as ill.

The first is when you look into the mirror in the begining, and everything goes all red and into flames. Caught me totaly off gaurd and scared the hell out of me.

The second would be the "over here, follow me" part followed by "they took my baby", that was pretty freaky as well.

Yea the over here part was scary I'm playing in a dark room its after midnight and I got my headphones on cranked up, so most of the audio the whispers, screams its all great.
The monsters that pop out can sometimes be a surprise but after the first couple levels its expected.

mine was when you get the beserker powerup and you hear yourself screaming and everything's red...

then it gets cool when you can do 1 hit kills with your fists! heh.

oh and there's a pipe burst and a floor explosion in Delta Labs that shook me a bit. Seems like the farther you get in the game the more of the "behind your back spawn" surprises occur too.

I like all the moments when the "hell" symbols flash all over the walls.

I like the "living tissue" that's on the walls fairly early in the game too. Oozing around. Creepy.

ahah, call me crazy but the moments that caught me completley off guard were the simple times that when you pass a door in a room you know you've already cleared out and the door opens with a loud 'WHOOSH!' hehe, those made me jump quite often.

One time I walked past a door that was facing my side and an Imp was already behind it in leaping position. That made me jump as the door was only open for a second before the Imp came flying through and knocking my head upwards.

awesome for Singleplayer, it adds a more hectic, urgent feel for not taking damage.

I'd probably hate it for MP, but i haven't had the chance to play much of it latley.

my scariest moment was in the first few levels. I think it was in the LAB sector 2 or 1. I walked down a hallways and all I hear is "KLANK", I turn around and I see an imp standing there ready with a plasma ball...

that really, REALLY hurt...

i neva saw that bit with the bathroom, an the red walls, or the "they took my baby", but, my scariest bit, was wen hmmm, the hole thing just makes me jump so often but, rite at the start, i ran out of shells 4 my shotgun, had 4 bullets left in da pistol, and 3 health, oh and also in admin, wen u go 2 the aco offices an then, wen u cum bak, theres that imp, that made me jump

The audio in this game has to be the scariest factor. Theres so much involved with it. without it, the game would suck. I.D. did a terrific job. The flames in the bathroom part caught me off guard, I had my headphones on really loud....it scared the hell out of me

As for the "come here", that was AWESOME. the bloody footprints added a nice effect to it as well!

Who else thinks the darkness is scary, with every turn you get hit by something in the shadows!

the mirror 1 in one of the delta levels, but my scariest 1 is in delta 4, were u walk in, an the chainsaw zombie like, flashes there an then not...that freeked me out

Me too, same with the fact that the hall was painted with blood and "die", "suffer", and "burn" were written with blood on the wall. And I think I saw a revenant flash when I played it.

The scariest part for me had to be the part where in CPU Complex, you enter a room, a brief cutscene makes the room with blood walls and skeletons and body parts all of the place, and the creepy voice of sabaoth saying, "I can smell your fear." Caught me off guard.

I am always scared when walking down a hallway and the lights go out, and when they come on there are demons everywhere running at me.

Another moment was near the end with the holographic demon with the chainsaw that keeps appearing and dissapearing and then it is actually real. (talk about getting chopped)

For me it was definantly the part when you are walking down the blood drenched hall where the lights are flickering & when ever the lights flicker you can see a chainsaw zombie for a split second...

Well I didn't play to much into the game except the end and the beginning. The part were the demon looking dog..I think it was called pinky came out and I was shooting the hell out of it and it wasn't dying.

The other part was at the end when I fought the cyber demon. He was super huge and killed me at first very quickly.

For me one of the scarier times came a little too late into the night with my surround speakers all turned up. I believe it was close to the recycling sector or something when you start to go down the elevator and there's yet another long dark hallway and you can hear the Cherubs crying and stuff but you can't see them........I liked the feeling afterward though when I lobbed a grenade down the way toward the noise and it stopped when the explosion fragged 'em. Good times.

My scariest moment so far was in alpha sector 1 or 2 i cant remember but i like to make sure the bodys are dead i went to check one and it was picked up then being pulled around the celling by some invisible force then the screen when red and you get that freaky laugh and then 5 imps teleported in that did it for me.

I'm still playing the demo but my scareist moment was when everything is fairly normal…then you find the sceintist and the demons come…i ran away only to be attacked by that dammed sceintist from behind it scared the shit outta me i totally wasnt expecting that…

I screamed like a little girl throughout the entire game my first go round. Even now with the cheats [except god] for weapons I let out a shreak on the average of every 5-10 minutes. I love this game!!!!!!!!!![/QUOTE]

id have to agree with that mirrow one, just happened in the flash of a second, another one which was my mistake i had music blarring in the background so i didnt hear much from the game i turned around and saw a hell knight right behind me then it slapped me around there lol

the mirror part and when nothing is going on and then a panel will fall from the cealing or something holy crap and when my luggage fell out of my closet when I was playing I peed myself a little.
