I wonder if anything like this has happened to others...
Had a full team of 8 doing one of my Kheldian missions on Freedom server this evening. We were all level 8-9. It was a train mission against Circle of Thorns. Everything was going fine and then we came upon a group with a level 15 Ruin Mage! Every other mob was level 9. At the same time we see a red Admin entry in the chat channel saying "Testing". Well there was no way we could beat this +7 Boss so one of the team logged on as his higher-level tank and took care of the problem. Just curious if this has this ever happened to anyone out there?

I actually see the Ruin Mages running around with them all the time on Triumph, especially out in the hollows....boy, it gets bad fast when you think you're hunting 9's or 10's, and one of them shows up. Never saw that in a mission, though...

I saw the 'Testing' message on Triumph after everyone allegedly got booted off the server. One or two people were so upset that they were going to cxl their account.

That's pretty messed up to put a +7 boss in a mission. I saw the same Testing in red letters earlier so I don't know what they were doing, were they preluding to an up coming Server Maintenance?

i saw the testing but i didn't get booted but a similer thing happend to me. I was doing the mish with vampires and were all 26-28 and a 34 equinox archon was aiting for us at end of mish and during that mish was when i saw testing.

That is bizarre, wasn't booted but the global channels went down on Triumph...as far as I know, that's all that happened.

Interesting nastiness. The only badness like that I've ever seen was a +5 Lieutenant showing up in a mission I had a while back. A +7 boss though, pretty much impossible for a small group.

I didn't actually see the message but I had a friend that did. We were running around on our archers, I went Afk and when i got back he was like..
"Is it bad when an Admin says Testing?"
I was like
"RUN!!" nothing happened though, was fun to see his character start tweaking as he spun around to find out why I had screamed such obsenity..lol

Fifty on 12-10-2005 at 12:35am after 400hrs of hard labor Wanna throw a special shout out to Illusion Mastor, CBail, Mudpuppy, Jupiter Sweets, Dark Hollow, Lethal Fury, Pan, Majin Tank, Lotus of Death, and all the others i know I am forgetting for their help. And also to all the gameampers here at gameamp whom without I would never have made it.

We had that happen on pinnacle. . .I believe I was around 35 lvl or so. And we were pwnin the devouring earth, but rubble from the bedrock came up at lvl 42 when we were fighting lvl 35 enemies. I think that also may have happened with CoT as well. . .

the only similar experience i have had, is on the croatoa TF. my PB was autoexemp to 35, hes actually 36. were all 35 or lower, all the mins, leuts, and bosses, heck even the AV mary macomber were ALL 35, BUT the voids around the mission were lvl 36. granted +1 isnt that bad, but those guys can 1-2 shot me at even level as it is. i couldnt see why they would be higher than everything else on the TF.

I've been in a mission with a +7 Ruin Mage but it was in Easgate Heights, not a train mish. It totally kicked our #%@#&*! I didn't see any "testing" first tho.

Never seen that Testing message from Admin-- and to be honest I hope I never do. I do remember being one hit killed by somthing during one of my missions, but I never saw what it was, not sure if it was the same thing or not. I hope the devs have a way to "fix" things for your character if their "random test" screws up.
I can see how that could piss you off-- They should "test" character groups that don't have any risk of debt if that is the only way they can do it. OR better yet, they should set up closed networks and test on their own players. That's just my humble opinion, but I don't know at all what it means to be a game developer for such a massive project. It might be a necessary thing to do to improve overall quality in the long run?

Had similar prob same Tf but if i remember right the mobs were 34 and he was a 37 LT or Boss (purple anyeay) and i was 33
I seem to see this problem more with void types.
Saw the testing, i think it had to do with the global chat thing.
Also 1 time had a full team against psi clock king around L44 or so (we were 42-43ish i think) and when we killed him all his minions around him were suddenly 50's. Did a petition and was told it sometimes happened but only with a full team. We quickly found something better to do this was some time back so hopefully its fixed.

Although I haven't seen this yet, I do appreciate the warning. I've been trying to pay closer attention to my surroundings with the new mission changes. Checking all of the enemies in the mob before attacking.

Was playing in a mission the other day when our team mysteriously ran into ANOTHER team in the middle of the mission.
You could almost see the confused looks on everyones face.
Needless to say - we took FULL advantage of our numerical superiority.
