By now, you may have noticed that GameAmp has completely reworked the profile system. After much planning, designing, developing, debating, and fighting with evil monkeys which we keep locked away in our closets, we have launched the all new and much improved profile system. Below you will find an outline of all the features and functionality that have been added, changed, updated, and otherwise touched by the divine hands of Nogame and The Shaman. Mind you the divine hands are not fool proof and you may experience a few bugs along the way, but we’re working on that as well. You may wish to start by opening up another window and jumping to your profile so that you can follow along. If you don’t have an account yet, sign your ass up! It’s free and by the time you get done reading this, you’ll want one anyway. Here we go, peruse the sections below to learn more about each feature which has polymorphed into its level 2 form:
GAME HISTORYThis is functionality you won’t find anywhere else. Game History is the window into the heart of every gamer. This is the list of every (if you enter them all) game handle / character you have ever used / created in any online game in history. You can even upload an avatar pic for each one of your characters. If you used to play Meridian 59 back in the dizzay, put it up! We want gamers across the world to be able to find any of their old gaming friends they may have lost contact with and we can’t do that without your help! Add everything in, FPS, MMORPG, RTS, we want to know about it. There are gamers we would all like to find again and if you help spread the word this feature will become bad ass; the penultimate database for finding any gamer to ever play an online game. We leave this in the hands of you, the gamers, and we promise to promote this as much as we possibly can to make this as useful to everyone as possible. Every bit of this data is completely searchable as well so you search separately or combined for handles, levels, classes, races, servers, games, anything!
NETWORK CREDIBILITY LISTINGThe credibility listing displays combination of how geeky, dedicated, and knowledgeable a member is about each game on the GameAmp Network. This is measured in the standard credibility scale as seen network wide. For those of you new to the system, anytime you add game content such as screenshots, news, guides, etc… you are rewarded with credibility points. These points add up and you begin gaining levels. Gaining levels lets other members know how serious you are about the game by how much dedication you have to helping other members learn or be entertained more from any particular game. You can also gain credibility by adding useful posts in the forums which other users have the opportunity to rate.
USER HISTORYRemember that credibility thing we were talking about back in the Credibility Listing. Here’s the list of everything a member has ever contributed to the Network for as long as there account has been active. We’ll also tell you how much credibility they earned as well. If you find someone who writes excellent guides, visit their profile and check out ALL the guides they’ve done. Then drop them a comment about how uber they are in the game and how you want to have their children. They love that sort of thing.
AVATAR AREAUnderneath your avatar, at certain times, will appear any important noticed that GameAmp decides you are worthy of receiving. For instance, if you are online, you’ll see an online notification. This goes for anyone else profile as well. Two more unique notifications you will receive are “New PM(s)” and “New Friend”. These tell you if you have any new private messages or new friend requests, respectively. If you have either of the later you can click directly on the notification to jump to the appropriate area.
USER INFORMATION AND STATISTICSThis should be self explainatory to anyone with a grade school education. This is where you learn the basic information about a user such as their username, age, location, login count, etc… ‘nuff said…
PROFILE PICThis area will display a random profile picture from one of your characters you have included in your GAME HISTORY. We’ll talk more about this later… In the future you will also be seeing a real world picture of the member here as well.
USER’S FORUM POSTSHere’s a quick overview off all the last forum posts a member has made. You can also click the “View All” button to see every forum post a user has made anywhere on the network. If you find the jackasses that keep littering our forums with advertisements, feel free to leave them a slue of nasty comments. This may not help the situation, but it’ll be a hell of a lot of fun :D
ACCOMPLISHMENTSThis is an open system allowing any member to list their own accomplishments. Get creative here people if eating a peanut butter, pickle, and mayonnaise sandwich while doing a naked handstand on top of your bosses desk with one hand behind your back was the highlight of your life. List it! Believe me, there are people out there that would love to know about it, in fact there’s probably a couple of websites dedicated to it. GameAmp, of course, does not take any responsibility for what some people may consider accomplishments, browse at your own risk…
FRIENDS LISTHere it is, the way to show off how many friends you really have. By visiting anyone’s profile you can click the ADD TO FRIENDS LIST button to send them a friend request. If they accept you’ll both be added to each others friend lists. Collect a whole slew of people and show gamers everywhere how much you really care. You can find new gamers by using the BROWSE PROFILES and SEACH GAMER LIST links located in the Profile Hot Links section. If any of your friends are online, you will see an ONLINE notification next to their name in your list.
LATEST BLOG ENTRIESIf you don’t know what a blog is, you’ve got some serious catching up to do. This blog however will be seen by any gamers scouring the network for potential friends and all of your gaming friends who may be checking up on exactly how much of a gamer you are. There is no limit to the size or frequency of your blogs so blog away!
FRIEND COMMENTSAs long as you are logged in, you can leave a comment on anyone’s profile, you don’t have to be a friend to do so. Once again, there is no limit to the amount of comments you can leave. You can even incorporate images, links, or whatever else you deem necessary in order to get your point across to all the other gamers who may come across your post. Be reasonably nice however, everyone has the ability to remove comments from their own profile page. Happy Commenting!
IMAGE GALLERYThe Image Gallery has been drastically changed. We have upped the limit to the amount of images you can upload. New upload limit, INFINITE! Yes, add as many images as you would like to your profile and you will have thumbnails automatically generated as well. Add anything you want in here but please steer clear from any pornography and / or material which may be offensive to others. Definitely do not post anything illegal or we will hunt you down and steal your computer. By visiting other members’ profiles, you can also view their Image Gallery by clicking the same link located in the same location. If you find any porn in their gallery, you’ll probably want to download it, save it, and then notify a GameAmp Administrator so we can take it down.
CHANGING / UPDATING / ADDING YOUR INFORMATIONAt the top of your own profile you should see a Profile Hot Links section. Under here you will find a collection of links to each section of updatable content for your profile. The links should be self explanatory and you will also find a link for PRIVATE MESSAGES as well. To update your avatar use the ACCOUNT IMAGES link. To update your personal information, use the ACCOUNT INFORMATION link.
That’s all for now, Nogame and The Shaman will be continuing to add, tweak, adjust, and fix the profile system and this post will continue to be updated with the latest on the profile system. Now get to adding all your information in! If you still haven’t signed up for an account, do so now. If you still don’t think it’s worth signing up for an account, crawl back to whatever hole you drug yourself from and cry yourself to sleep. This is obviously to much for you to handle at one time.

I have stupid question.
I did an auction and it is completed....where do I go in my profile to see the completed auction and who the winner is and what the winning bid is?

My game handle's avatar will not upload for some reason. It is Paint Shop Pro Image, not too large(I don't think). I have no clue what-so-ever is the problem.

omg this is probably a real dumb qestion but i'm having problems uploading screenshots and was wondering what the req is for images or how to find out. i havn't been able to find any info on it so if i missed something i would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.Thx!
