| get the new chars in vet, elite |

I1ve started the game in vet and it's a bit wierd, that my party stands in front of me at the beginning. Plus Lothar is a MAGE... sucks.
So my problem is: if i want Lothar as a N.Magician how to release the Old Lothar? I've sent him in the inn, but there i couldn't RELEASE him (label is inactive).
Do i have to let him be killed? Or what?
One more question: where do i find a Rainbow Trinket, cause i don't have any, i really watched not to sell or miss anything like that and so far nothing...

You could buy a Rainbow Trinket from the reagent merchant; is the one that gives you 5% magic find: http://dungeonsiege2.gameamp.com/ds2/viewReagents/97.php

Tenx, but i haven't met it yet, although i've played the "little trick" save-exit-reload-watch if there is any... i've got 8 reagents giving me 15% MF each, but none of 5%.
Now what? Am i blond or simply dumb?
And about the new characters?
Can I swap them? Old Finala to the new, cause the old one stays at lvl 40 (go to inn, release-add not works), the new one would be at 52...

I read about a trick, how to release henchman. I didn't test it till now, so try it on own risk ;):
First, send the henchman to the inn. After that, buy pets and send them to the inn, till on the first page only pets are listend. If it works, you should now be able to release the henchman.

If you got the 15% regeants that means you finished mercenary and you are in veteran difficulty. try to go back to the first difficulty and reload the game a few times, maybe you’ll have better luck. Or just wait till you get to the Frigid cave in the Snowbrook Foothills where you’ll find the Rainbow Trinket

Jupp, got it in the Frigid Cave. It's beautiful... :)
But why do the "Help" says it's 3*3 in the inventory, when it's 1*1??? Well I'm the dumb afterall, why didn't I watched more carefully... anyway thenx again!
And jupp again!!! You can release oooold caracters from the second page at the Innkeeper. A lot of TENX to you, Pentagramm, as well!!

According the the GPG Garage....once you hire an NPC, you can't get rid of them. Even if they're not IN your party at the moment, they're still PART of your party. So, you can't get rid of the old Lothar, and replace it with New Lothar.
If you don't hire them at all, so they're just standing around at the inns, then they're not PART of your party and you can hire whichever version you want.
Nutty, I know. Maybe that Inn trick mentioned above will work (let us know if it does!)
