Hello

Hails.

My friend is running EQ2 on a AMD xp 1600 I believe it's running at 1.39Ghz. He has.... 512 megs DDR 3200s..... When ever he plays the game runs VERY fast. Example... like it's in some kind of frame skip mode or something. He has a ATI 9600 latest drivers and DirectX. What makes it very odd is that when he first got the game it wasnt playing like that. Now after a reinstall of windows and the game everything is going crazy... any ideas? I suggested to him to just reinstall the game but who knows....

thanks

Re: Hello

Well JT, I am not an expert by no stretch of the imagination but, did this type of "stutter step" start after the expansion?

I have several friends that have experienced something like this after the expansion. They have made some minor graphic settings to help game play.

I'll look around for any other info that might help. The TEch-support Forums are also a great resource for help.

Here is a LINK

Hello thanks for the reply.

My friend didnt buy the expansion it starts right after the second time he installed the game. I searched the link you gave and it seems like alot of people with better machines then my friend are having the same problem...... Who knows I think after this month he's going to go back to EQ1 due to this problem...

once again thanks for the reply

Re: Hello

Yeah with any big patch or expansion there are always issues that make the game unplayable for many people for sometimes extended periods of time. I'm sure at the very least they are working hard to come out with a large fix for the problem. The only advice I have is to stick with it, check back often, and hopefully they'll come out with something soon.
