| Your opinion on in game music |

I'm just wondering what everyone's opinion on this game's music and what their favorite in game music is.
Honestly, I love the music bits that are on this game (CoH) and I wished some of them kept playing. They have good beats. :D Example - Most of the music in Galaxy City
Of course, after awhile, all in game music gets old and annoying and thankfully we have great stations like this one to listen to.
So what do you think of the snippets on this game and what is your favorite game music from any MMORPG? (Yes, MMORPG. I know it's gonna be tough. =p )

thats easy. the original theme song for Minoc in ultima online. now they have these new updated mp3s for the game. but the original midi for Minoc is my favorite. i find myself humming it a lot. its got this pleasent peaceful feel to it. its my home town also. so Minoc and its original theme are till this day, my favorite MMORPG music. the theme music for Lok on SWG is also really sweet. the vocals are awesome. but still doesnt beat my Minoc.

NICE! I have actually never played UO, but I can definately agree that the music on LOK is very high ranking. It's ,by far, the best music on that game.

I think it'd be nice for most games to start letting you run your own music. Like in GTA, you could set it up to play your mp3s. I thought that was a nice feature that shoulda been expanded on.

CoH's music hasnt wowed me, but I do enjoy game music, particularly RPGs. I have a bunch of Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross mp3s.

I'd have to say the best game music is any of the Myst series. I love the earthy ambience of it :). I have the cds also...heheheh.

I thought the ingame music on first impression was VERY good compared to others. The only other game that I really thought did a great job with in game music was Anarchy Online. Really enjoyed their's as well. There is this one spot in Steel Canyon that I always make my path through so I can hear the music from it.. because its actually really cool.. but I agree with what was stated above.. having a real CD witih all the tracks would be something I'd definately purchase.

I liked the music on AO too. I think the worse in game music is on Fairyland, lol. MMORPG speaking, that is.

I think OzShadow has bunches of old school video game music. Mostly remixed. All pretty cool stuff. It souds like it is almost time for another 8bit rave.
