Question for everyone. Is there a limit on the number of times a rune can be salvaged from a piece of armor and applied to a new piece?
I ask, cause a few times, I will use the expert salvage kit to remove a rune on some armor (since I bought new armor), and when I salvage (expert) the armor, I don't get the rune back out. Is this a glitch?

nope.. not a glitch, a rune can be transferred as long as your luck lasts..
Salvaging works on a chance basis, one out of .... many times (dunno how many) it goes wrong.. :)

No glitch. Just an 80% chance of getting a rune out of an armor at all. It used to be the same for drops, but that got fixed.
Imagine my sweaty hands when I decided to remove a Superior Rune of Vigor from a pre-Droknar set :-)

That's happened to me before, it was a Necro Scar Pattern I salvaged with a vigor rune on it and I only got 2 feathers for some reason. But a scar pattern is headgear not armour thought really.

Odd... I had a terrible streak with that sort of thing so I stopped trying... I thought I just couldn't pull it back out.

Yeah...I had exp. salvaged one of my ranger's armors that had a Sup. Vigor that I got near the end of the Maguuma Jungle. It was just before I got my Droknar's, I believe...maybe it was Amnoon Oasis. Either way, I got like 16 tanned hide squares. Was p.o'ed for like a week. Heh.

Ouch! Yeah, I got to the point that I just save my really juicy runes until I have armor I know I'm going to keep for a while. I think you can get away with all minor runes (and the cheaper majors) until you get to Drok's without too much trouble.

Heh..that is why I ask.. I have a Superior Absorption Rune that I found and want to make sure I can remove it from my warriors' armor when I go to upgrade. :-)

Just dont do like I did, and apply ANY rune to pre-sear armor, it cant be salvaged because it wont let you salvage pre-sear armor. I put a Major vigor on it because I was lucky enough for it to drop that early in the game figuring I'll just salvage it out later. Nope! its not a disaster but still its around 3K or so lost.
