i got through the 3 missions in the desert but i cant beat dopple ganger. I am a monk ranger and it wont let my pet help. i tried using just healing spells but then i couldnt hurt him enough. then i tried smiting spells and it used up some of my energy and he killed me before i got him half way. Then i tried marksmanchip with a good bow and that didnt work either.

here's what to take (this worked for me)
Load up healing breeze and balthazar's aura - put all your points into healing and smiting. Put NOTHING else on your skill bar that will either help your mirror, or hurt you.
As soon as you start, cast breeze on yourself, then rush your doppleganger and cast balthazar's aura. Keep on using healing breeze on yourself, cast balthazar's aura as needed until your mirror is dead at your feet.
That's the tactic I used for defeating my mirror as a monk/warrior. For some reason, the mirror doesn't use those skills. Anyways, the breeze will offset the damage he does to you and balthazar's aura will damage him.
