Oh yeah...I forgot to mention I've been in since the first wave. Of course, my work schedule being all sucky, I only got to play 1-2 times a week during the short playtest window.

And now I can freely start saying...
Some of the new ATs in the game ROCK!!
Right now I'm obsessed with the MasterMinds, they are pretty awesome, you can control Zombies, Ninjas or Robots!! You can buff them, heal them and with higher levels add to their powers and strengths!!
The new zones are looking stark and mean, even Kings Row looks like Disney Land compared to the new areas of CoV. Wandering villains are going to be freaky!! Haven't seen them all, but, the ones I have seen are extremely cool...though we still have to put up with the Skulls, Hellions and the infected dudes from Outbreak...now the infected are just wandering around the streets.
One of the coolest features, which I hope is ported to CoH is the newpaper missions...kind of like following leads from newpaper stories, but, you still have contacts in all the zones. Newpaper missions give you a choice of up to 4 different leads and then the contact gives you a big mission like robbing a bank or kidnapping someone for the next contact name. Which brings me to another neat feature...when you go into a zone for the first time and you haven't been sent there, you are automatically given a contact to go see, usually a mile from where you are so if you are low in the levels you could get a few cuts and bruises along the way.
Hero creator...new stuff to wear, new ways to look!!!
Awesome new costume pieces added, along with new faces that are twisted and evil looking. We now have the options of looking like animals! Wolf, Snake, Fish-like, Insect and Zombie...and more S&M looks, now we can look like the guys from HellRaiser (brain caps)!
Ok, I'll go take a nap now, and think of other things to add now that I can spill my guts.

Ok I've been in tehre since 2nd wave... Oh my gosh... Ok first... I love my Dominator... and my mercs/traps is fast becoming my favorite.
I'm looking forward to finally playing with the new lvl bump, cause I too have been working strange hours and not able to play every nught of the beta. :)

Love the new costumes, love the new power sets, love the new ATs.
Hate the fact that when you go from Breakout to Mercy Island you have like a 0.8 mile walk to go to the trainer. Why the heck is that!??!?

I just got my invite 2 days ago. I tried last night, but the lag was soooo incredible that I got booted at least 5 times. The last time, I couldn't get back in. What I did see looks quite ominous, and very exciting. Didn't get to play too much with different characters, but am so looking forward to getting some time in and beating on the game.

I just read that a record was set last night for concurrent users. We brought the server to its virtual knees. Upside is, they found a ton of useful data and can expand access hours soon.

dont forget the mercenaries, i think they just added that last night. i tried that one out myself.
EDIT: i just got in around tuesday, i have to say the masterinds were awesome, necromancer being my favorite of course, but i had more fun with my dominator. plantcontrol/psychic that second psychic attack in the set, i was hitting even minions and some lts for half health or more.

yea...my Dominator, Domineering Iniquity, is hardass. He is plant control (graphics rock) and psionics (finally I use the thing that still kicks my tanks arse). Can't wait to get home tonight and see what else is in store. Look me up at

I was transported right in front of my Contact, but the trainer was about .8 miles away. I think...unless there's more than one trainer in the starting area. I really did more playing around in the character creator than anything.

I just got my beta invite last night. I followed the directions, but I guess the server shut down around 10PM CDT so I missed out on actually getting to play yet. Can anyone tell me what the usual server schedule is? And this stress test they will be running this weekend -- does this mean the server will be up or down?

Yeah, I was on for a few minutes this morning, but I kept freezing with graphics lock ups. I'll wait until I get my new card on monday. It's sitting in Jacksonville right now. :/

Yeah Im in the european one, did my first night tonight as it took me two attempts on two nights to download everything.
Played for an hour, well tried to the lag was terrible and made it near impossible to play at the moment, so i went over to paragon and played coh for a bit with a little used alt and things ran fine.
CoV looks superb, I'll post a screenie of my beta alt - Dark Spray.
Anyways post more later when I can
