The merchant sells ecto's for 13k, so you won't get them for anything less then 10k unfortinately.

just to give you an idea, you can sell them to the rare mats trader for 10k right now...so you'd probably be hard pressed to buy them for less than 11k off of a player.

trader prices are based on supply/demand. The price goes up based on scarcity, and the amount of people trying to get them. It may be 13k today, and may go down to 11k next week.

Is the price different in Europe than it is in America?

I would guess and say they around the same or close to it. I'm sure they are on different servers and the prices would be based on that servers s/d. But i'm guessing so maybe someone from the europe/korea servers could say for sure?

well im on the european server and i can sell the shards to the rare material trader for 3k2. i have often wondered if the price of material and rune traders was fixed across servers or even across citys but havent looked into it. deatails on merchants and how they work tend to confuse me. i never know quite what to expect.

^ ...Ecto went up to 17k i believe and shards went up abit too. Guess not much people are buying them anymore from trader =p .
~Edit: Ecto is back down to 13k :) I Sold all mine for 15k !!WooT, buyn more at the moment =p.
