HI,
Nothing new in here but i'd like to talk about this once again as it seems a large number of players don't know what this means. At least in most groups i've been recently.
So please remember when a Monk or Elem just says "My energy is 18 of 82" we're not thinking loud, we're just asking for a few seconds to recharge.
I think everybody knows that a Monk or Elem without energy is nearly useless, so...
When i'm playing with my Ele or Mo i've use the technique of informing when low on energy and when ready to go just say again what my energy is, (ctrl click on energy bar).
So my team knows the first warning is to give me some time the second is to, go...go...go
Don't have to be energy full to give the second warning as i will keep recharging while we run.
In the start of the mission or quest i just inform the party of these technique.
Bye
MR

Well, as an ele nuker I have adopted the following procedure to energy announcements.
* Normally I do not announce my energy level. I see it something like a pride about my professionality to manage my energy so that the bucket never runs empty.
* If there are situations that strain my energy storage because of unnecessary rushing/aggroing, I start to make announcements if it looks like more of the same is in order.
* If that does not help I will politely explain that I cannot make a full contribution because of whatever it is people are doing
* If that does not help I stop making announcement and just do what can be done to save the mission/quest. It's not my concern any more if other people do not consider my character so important an asset to the team that it would merit a revaluation of the applied tactic to get my full support.
Believe me, I have seen good party leaders (even warriors) who before each difficult battle make sure - even by asking personally - that all the team members are ready. But those are a small minority.

I had one of those last night. The monks weren't calling their energy (I think they were still kinda new to the game)
so, toward the end of the mission, being the leader I took it upon myself to ask
Monks need regen?
At the end the one tank didn't bother to wait, rushed into battle and promptly died. Just before he died he began asking for heal. Even though the monk had said he needed a sec to regen and I told everyone to wait a sec he still rushed ahead. All I had to say to him was I told you to wait for regen.
I hope he learned a lesson

I've had people like that a lot. I was in a group and think Kilroy Stonekin, minus the KIIILLROOOYYYYY STTTOONNEEKKIIINN!!!!! This character kept rushing ahead of the group. Someone would say "Give me a sec to recharge" or "AFK for 30 sec" and off they'd go anyways. I've had it happen with mostly warriors and 'tanking eles'; like any monks gonna have energy after having to heal an ele that that thinks its a tank. Most groups Ive been in listen to the energy calls and know what it means(i.e. if you go agro you will die), so they wait.

Ive been in alot of groups that press on without waiting for Regen of Eles or Monks. seems the only way to get them to notice is by Ctr- Energy spamming, but thats irritating to those who know what it means.
most people who know the game know that all or most their health regeneration and enemy health degenration is credited to either a monk or an ele. But there will always be..God forgive me... a warrior that thinks they are invincible and that they do all the damage and heal signet is all they need and the rest of the players are merely a "players" entourage.
Ive been in a few good groups with one dufus, who ran off whilst eles and monks were calling their energy lvls. We just let him die. When he spammed for a rez, we just let him lie. seems cruel but damn it feels good :)

I had to warn a Tanking ele the other night.. Circle of fire was the mission, We had an awsome group Except for our "Tanking Ele" He would run up into all those million larva spiders and start screaming HEAL HEAL HEAL.. Mind you I had 2 Normal tanks and they were great.. I warned the ele if he runs in there again he gets no heals.... So whats he do.. Flat stick into the lava Imps.. So he spent the battle lying around in imp guts :).. then when everything was dead and we all recharged and laughed at him he got rezzed.

Oh yep the stupid war who doesn't consider the rest of the team.
Makes me laugh when they take just one monk along and expect them to do it all...lol
