I think the makers of guild wars needs to put an extra option for lvl 20 player's only. I think they need to make glowing dye and or armor. This would be a great addition to Guild Wars. Then lvl 20 player's are recognized more easily and they would look AWESOME! Colors like; white, blue, red, green, yellow, orange, purple etc...
Tell me what you think.

I agree. There should be some way of immediately identifying level 20 characters. Glowing armor like bosses would be awesome.

yea i see where your coming from but i think all the people who have ascended have a kind of glow around them or something so u know whos done the ascension or whos just leveled up to lvl 20 as this would make it alot easier tryin to make UW and FOW partys as u can see whos ascended and who hasnt
Characters:
Prince Oidor (Level 20 Dervish/Elementalist)
Prince Androabyss (Level 20 Paragon/Any)
Amozan Assasin (Level 20 Assasin/Any)
Princess Abena (Level 20 Warrior/Elementalist)
Princess Abyss (Level 20 Elementalist/Mesmer)

Sounds like an idea.
I always been thinking they should add something to show you have completed the game (not so much for being level 20, you can easily see that :D)

This would be an awesome upgrade component for the game. Espescially white! Glowing white would be god-like lol.
**edit**
not only a glow around you but also have a glowing dye so that you look the color you glow. All white armor plus a white glowing silhouette! how Aweome would that look?!

Maybe when you finish game you should receive a golden aura like the one you have in d2 when you wear a fully completed set.
I taste like Nuclear Waste. Delicious.
Tasting like nuclear waste is a good thing - nothing bites me, nothing eats me, few things even touch me. I appreciate the solitude my harsh exterior brings. What Flavour Are You?

Quite a sweet idea, but I think that you would need to do something over and above JUST getting Level 20, such as all missions and bonuses?

Would the glow be linked to your character class like bosses, or would special Glowing Dye be made availible to the qualified?

I'm saying that you could buy which dye you wanted. There would not be a set color for each class. What if you were a Ranger and your glow was Hot Pink! I wouldn't like having a set color, what if I didn't like hot pink? I think the best way would be to be able to purchase the dye from the dye trader.
Would there be a way to regulate the selling of glowing dye to non lvl 20 player's? I don't think that there would be a way of doing that. But, there might be a way to only be able to use the dye once you are level 20. How would they regulate the use of the dyes between non-lvl-20 player's?

well, Imo lvl 20 would be kinda low of a requirement. Most people in the game are probably level 20. So it really wouldn't distinguish you from the other warrior that much. I would agree with the post that said all missions+bonuses, that would take some time to get. Also maybe something to do with your armor being infused? since its annoying when you try to do that thunderhead and then people start falling in a couple of seconds when you reach the mursaat lol.

I kind of want to disagree. Why should those who are level 20 get something a bit more special? There are those who are level 20 and still doing ascalon missions. And there are those who have actually beaten the game. I don't think it's needed. Sure, be cool and all, but I feel there would be some people who are showing off, when all they did was have a friend help them power level the whole way.
In a way it's almost like having droknars armor and going in the Ascalon arena and making new players wonder why they do so badly in PvP.
I say that FoW and 15k armor already shows off enough.
Just an opinion.

i think the glowing armor would be great, but instead of getting it upon reaching lvl 20, getting it after having your armor infused would be better i think..

It sounds like a cool idea, but it might make people mistake other players for bosses, especially in Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace, so you would have to make sure to differentiate between the two.
Also, how about this idea: You can only buy the "aura" in FoW, so only ascended people could use it, and somehow prevent people from leaving FoW if they had it in their inventory (To stop people from just taking it and reselling it to level 1 chars)? Even better, put the "aura trader" at or near the end of FoW so that only players good enough to get that far in could get it?
This is basically to help differentiate ascended chars from normal AND skilled players from normal. Seems like a good idea to me, and most of it would be easily applied... Well, except for stopping people from leaving FoW...

I expected to see a big change with ascending...nope. The armor looks the same. What a bummer.

I see that everyone has their opinions on this matter! I think it would be a great idea to pursue. But, it's up to them, not us. I'm sure if NC tried to do this then they would have everything worked out nicely. I like the idea where that certain dye trader in FoW was the only trader who carried the "glowing" dye. It would prove that you were well enough to ascend and reach the end of FoW.

Hmmm
Not a bad idea, but how about this. Earn Divine Aura when you ascend or beat game, complete Sorrows Furnace?
Think that would be fare for the people buying collectors edition Guild Wars?
Ok if that doesnt work how about earning eternal weapons/armor or dye from Dwayna for an expansion?
Just brain storming

The dark blue/purple name tags simply means the person is in a group already. It has nothing to do with the stage of the game you are in.
Again, though, it would be beneficial to have some way to quickly differentiate characters at different stages of the game, such as different color name tags or the auras. I, personally, am always annoyed when I am in a Fire Islands mission with people who aren't infused, so having some way to visually tell if this is the case would be helpful.

The whole "press tab, and people are blue or purple" bit is already in there, but not to show ascendancy. It's used to tell who's in a party, and who's not.
An aura would be useful to have, and you'd certainly know the better players from the nOObs who powerleveled. Putting it in FoW to stop lowlevel players from getting it would be useful, but why not make it a quest? That way, there's no chance of someone being able to make off with twelve to sell to lvl 5s in Ascalon. If you want an aura, you beat the game, and get a quest in the ToA. That way, you enter FoW, fight your way to the far side, and pick up your aura. If you wanna change the colour, you just reenter and head back, and can change if you've beaten the quest.

i think that you should get glowwing armor or be able to buy glowing dye if u beat the game. You shouldd also get something like that when u ascend cus that is what i thought u would get when i first ascended.

I like the idea to make it a quest in ToA that sends you through FoW, but rather than making people go back through FoW to change colors, why not make it so that when it is done, the person who gave the quest can change it in ToA? This would be similar to the profession quests in the desert, so you could go and talk to they guy whenever you wanted to change colors without having to pay to enter FoW or go through a long run there.

The quest idea was the best I've heard of! This would deffinately keep players from gaining many of them and also controlling the limit of who glows and who doesn't. What's the point of glowing if everyone can? It would be nice to have a way to show off the fact that you have beat the game.

Why not have a quest to get it in both UW and FoW. Sure a Bladed Ataxe isn't the brightest, but at 140-200+ dmg a hit it doesnt need to be. Sure a trapper team could most likely get it easily in UW but they can change things around a bit for that quest(standard NKP vs DNKP anyone?). I'm sure with a little imagination A-Net can make a UW quest for it just as challenging as a FoW quest. Of course it would have to be a one-time-only quest to keep people from farming the dye and selling it at exhorbent rates to other not 'worthy' characters.
I'd really like the glowy outlined edge look the bosses have over divine aura, unless by aura you meant the glowy edge.
I too, would also like to see a color coding system to identify where players are in the game or at least one for whether they are infused or not.
